I have quite a few things on the go right now, and will post more later, but here's a friendly UFO spotter I just finished:

He's a quick conversion from Artizan's Thrilling Tales 'Philippe' mini: shoulder-slung gun replaced with a satchel, a hood added to turn the coat into a parka, and some glasses for that final geeky look.
He's based loosely on Max Edison, a UFO spotter from the Doctor Who magazine comic strip.

Nice. 8) You don't see many orange parkas about these days.

I don't remember ever seeing an orange parker, green and blue (i had a green one when I was 8or 9), but then I'm only a young 'un.
Edit: but nice conversion and painting btw!

I think I had an orange parka as a kid.
Very nice conversion and painting!

Guess you've not seen me yet then!

Great job with the conversion.
-
top notch!
that is really well done...
I am so unmotivated at the moment it's annoying the hell out of me...
you could get brown parkas as well... everyone wanted blue after Empire Strikes Back though...

Thanks all.
I actually had a blue parka when I was a kid... But orange is more fun - nice to paint too. I enjoyed this mini more than most I've painted in the last six months - maybe I should just paint more orange things!
