My local club started a paint your gang project for Necromunda, and I got convinced as a late entry. The goal is to paint 500 credits per month with the goal of a legal 1000 and later 2000 credits gang. Up to two mercs can be taken for free if painted on top of the monthly batch.
I chose Goliath, hoping they will suit my play style. Certainly the new plastic miniatures are nice enough. My first 510 credits are a Paule, a stimmer with paired pulverisers, the bruisers Kalle and Ralle both with combat shotguns (one with additional spud-jacker) and Jupp a bruiser with axe and stub gun. The other two hangers are for later. And as I can’t help myself I also whipped together a bit of terrain.

Very nice!

Great stuff

Nice work

A little terrain project for the hive: Fiete’s Fried Fastfood - bat free chinese chips. Fiete will serve you everything fried except for hive bats. At least that’s what Doc Hollywood certified for a little extra fee...

Very cool, I look forward to seeing it painted.

That is an awesome project!

Thanks guys, glad you like it!
Just a small update. Finished two forge-born. One got new arms from the regular box. With a bit of filing and green stuff they fit the male forge-born nicely. Part of his back had to be remodelled with greenstuff though instead of the backpack the forge-born come with. His right arm is the plasma gun arm, with the gun taken off, hand re-positioned and a gorkamorka stub gun added I had lying around.

Nickromunda, very cool
Hadn’t thought of that one lol

Added a walkway to the large structure and some scatter terrain:

Time to show some progress. I’ve finished my forge tyrant BumBum, a conversion from a Khorne slaughterpriest as well as some gangers, an Ambot and Fiete the slopper.
-
And some WIP shots of the tyrant. I did some dry fitting along the way. The heavy bolter was a spare metal part that once must have belonged to some space marine thing. The magazine came courtesy of an ork shoota. For the arms and head I used spares from the stimmers. The head felt a little small at first but I’m quite content how it came about with the new Mohawk. All head to be fitted with filing and green stuff of course.

Great stuff. I love the yellow on that Ambot!

Fantastic!
Love the conversion and the small details you add to the minis & bases

I am so out of touch with GW
I Must be old I don't recognise a lot of these what is an ambot?
And some of the weapons sound weird
-
Very nice work.

Wonderful project. The Necro kits are very nice... I almost bought a couple today while shopping for Blackstone Fortress sets.
-
I like the conversion work you've done on the tyrant! The rest is great as well!

Thank you guys, much appreciated!
Great stuff. I love the yellow on that Ambot!
That’s black primer with white zenithal highlight as primer. Then yellow contrast paint and dry brush with first yellow and then a very light ochre / sand colour and some touch ups with agrax earthshade.

Just realised that I never posted pictures of the finished model nor some of the other gang additions. So here they are the finished forge tyrant along with my first Ambot, a slopper (he of Fiete’s Fried Fastfood) and another ganger. The group shot doesn’t show the whole gang but gives a good impression of what they look like.

And wouldn’t you know it, I finally got to play the gang after the plague has finally subsided in the hive. So I got to take some action shots in our club’s lovely terrain.
