Title: Men in space suits?
Post by: Bako on 06 August 2009, 12:20:32 AM
Another pestering question from yours truly.

Does anyone know of miniatures that wear space/EVA suits? that aren't from Blue Moon, or Victory Force? I can see myself picking up the Blue Moon ones for adventurers, but I'm really more interested in some without weaponry.

As far as looks go, I could care less. I'm planning on having the setting be a space colony inhabited both by terrans and spacers. Meaning mismatching suits are fine, and sought after.

Well, cheers.

There are these funky little guys from East Riding Miniatures:

They are more like 25mm, but really good fun. My mate Danny bought some and they really are nice, if chunky, little fellas. Proper old school suits.  :)

Not really much help to you, but here is a sculpt I did some time ago.

Not stunning, but not too difficult to do if you were really stuck.

Interesting stuff, guys. I suppose I'd be interested in pressure-suit type dudes from pulp and other science fiction. The nitty-gritty, held together with spit and thread look would also work for what I'm wanting.

I might have to go on a look-out for scale model kits or toy sets or something as well.
