Title: 28mm Empress Miniatures NVA (updated 17/08/20)
Post by: Rick F on June 30, 2020, 11:38:02 AM
Here's a few of the lovely Empress NVA, I've painted them up as VC to fight my ANZACs as they're close enough until the proper ones are released. Very quick to paint up, lots of black, khaki and washes.

Cheers mate, I really liked what you did with the same figures when you turned them into African Bush fighters. Thanks for the comment on the eyes, they're a pain to do but I think it's the thing that makes a figure. Amazing the amount of people that say "no eyes!!".

Great work! Very clean paint job.
How do you paint your blacks? Excessive highlight and it becomes grey, but too little highlighting and you lose all definition..

Thanks. For black clothing I use Vallejo 862 Black grey, followed by a wash of Nuln oil or similar, no need to highlight. For the hair I used Vallejo 950 Black, wash then highlighted with black with a bit of pink in it.

Thanks for the praise. I've been following your progress closely, sorry that I've been too ignorant to comment on your figures.
