Listening to the exploits of Horatio Hornblower and his 20-gun sloop HMS Hotspur whilst rigging my Spanish squadron, inspired me to get stuck into a little scratch build project I had in mind, namely to construct a similar ship-rigged sloop from the Warlord brig-sloop.

Much fun was had messing about with plasticard and modelling saw to produce the proof of concept model seen below alongside the brig below.

Gotta say, even with the lack of twin 50cals or a breach loading 81mm mortar ( ;) ) its a lovely little ship. Handy for river/estuary action and landing parties. Would love to see an AAR showing it off.
