Saw these and thought that they might be of use to some of you.
Can you have enough hooded fanatics? (No, not that sort of hooded fanatic!)

Fantastic! Maybe a bit too fantasy for most pulp settings however?
I reckon they'll fit in just fine in a Mordheim analogue :D

I'd throw them out there.....I suppose it depends on how fantastic your Pulp is really :)

Would never have guessed those were a GB release if you hadn't pointed it out - certainly some interesting sculpts!
A pity some have a crucifixes on them, but nothing that can't be removed or covered up.
-
Is this for a new army for Age of Magic? Or just a set of figures to use as one of the existing forces?

I think it is. They're from the Order Militant. I don't really play Saga.
I originally posted them up in the Pulp section thinking they might be useful for Cultists of some description but the post was moved over here :)
-
Yes, I moved them as I thought they were more suited here. There is a redirection notice if people from the Pulp Board are interested.

Fair enough. They are more suited to the Fantasy forum. :) I just saw them and though, "Cultists!" lol
-
Me too, though I thought 'Fantasy cultists'! lol
-
Have absolutely no use for those, but I do quite like them. Very dramatic.

I like them! Some of those Hexenjagers are cool too.

So will these be 28mm truescale or heroic scale?

First minis from The Beast that have got me excited in a loooong time 8)

Matt Bickley sculpts so a little bit bigger than, say, the Perrys or Paul Hicks but not huge.
I'll try and take a comparison when they arrive.

My thoughts exactly.
Good move getting Bickley junior on board. He's a damn fine sculptor. Explains why I was drawn to these. Most of GB's output over the last few years has left me cold. Perhaps I'm just too wedded to their Halcyon early days when Colin Patten did all that original lovely sculpting and Gripping Beast were the bees knees - their stand thronged three deep at at every wargames show.
(No doubt they're even more commercially successful now though, thanks to Saga etc).
-
They would make an excellent Mordheim gang, I'm quite tempted by them.
That's interesting that they are Bickley sculpts, I do like his work. The Claymore Castings stuff is lovely and his work on the Highgate Miniatures' vampires is just brilliant, I'd love to see him do some more of those.
I look forward to seeing some painted examples on the Board.

Agreed, personally I think the figures he's done for Highgate are some of the best figures on the market in terms of character and quality of sculpting.

Thanks, I am hoping they will mix with the Warlord Landsknecht range. They could make excellent true scale Empire flagellants.

Arrived this morning and they're bleeping lovely!
A very quick comparison with what I had at hand. The Beast figs are straight out of the packet with no clean up - as you can hopefully see, very little is needed 8) - just plonked on the 3mm mdf bases I use for everything.....

Corr, they're a bit lovely.

I just did some cultists from Frostgrave - would have definitely preferred these had I known! Ugh.
EDIT: Thought these were plastics...I can pass on metals for minions! :)
