Looking for barded horses with no riders and reins forward for a horse holder. I'm doing a command stand with knights dismounted. It is easier to ask than to search if you are lazy like me!
Thanks - Allen

Not sure about necessarily with reins forward, but Front Rank do a few barded/caparisoned horses:

And 1st Corps do a squire horse-holder which comes with a horse

Hopefully that helps!

Fireforge plastic horses come with cloth barding/ caprison
The perry plastic horses come with several varieties of armoured barding
I’d expect sprues of both are available on eBay to save you having to buy a whole box.

Actually, the Perry horse sprues (which are available separately on their webstore) do not come with any barding, though one of the horse heads has a protective plate in the front.
The bardings to go with them are provided in the plastic sprues with the riders. The 1450-1500 mounted men-at-arms version comes with two Italian style and two German style plate bardings per sprue, while the 1415-1429 knights version comes with a mail barding and small chest piece per sprue.
That said, these horses might be in a bit more dynamic poses than the original poster might be looking, and the reins certainly would need to be removed and resculpted (easier to do with plastic than metal, though).

You are right - I’d forgotten the barding was with the riders. That way well be the case with the FF ones too.

Essex miniatures perhaps.............

I could be wrong, but, if you're looking for a barded or caparisoned horse with the reigns set up for a horse holder you might have to do a conversion.
Simon Chick had done a marvellous job doing just that on this thread:
