Hello,
I am looking for 28mm miniatures for the Scottish Rebellion circa 1298?

Years ago. Many years ago. Bannockburn. I think we were using Revenge and given the (very) non historical set up of the English army they slaughtered the Scots. Not very satisfying at all. From what I remember we felt that just setting the English up in their historical positions would have been crazy so we opted for the English players to deploy how they chose.
Basically the English army predictably sat back, peppered the schiltrons with arrows and despite the Scots advance it was all too little too late.

This range from Crusader Miniatures looks close enough, especially if you want to recreate the painting of the battle.

They're too early for Striling Bridge/Bannockburn though some of the lesser armed mini's such as the spearmen and longbowmen could be pressed into service.
Personally I would try some of the Claymore Castings men at arms, not the knights (a bit too late).
It's a difficult one as there is no comprehensive dedicated range except the Andedivulian range which mainly covers the Scots.
It's going to be a case of mixing and matching plus converting if you want to go that route ???

I have done both several times. The Scots have a better chance of winning Bannockburn in my opinion, but both require the English to make a lot of mistakes I think. If it is a scenario driven game which assumes the English make the same mistakes, it is a fun game, but still a difficult win for the Scots I think. It is my favorite time period in history, but none of the battles are my favorite battles...weird I guess.

Have you ever seen the ebob figures? How do they scale with claymore etc? The personality figures look bulkier than the standard foot types.

The ebob mini's are much slighter in stature when compared to any other medieval range for the time period in 28mm that I can think of. about 25mm tall max.

It is strange, never seen anyone with these figures, those rebellion rules look very professionally produced but can't come across any reviews?

I can't really help you as I have never played the game. Someone out there must have given them a whirl? might be worth putting up a separate post?

I have fought them several times as it is a favourite period of mine, from 1260 second barons war and the welsh wars and then the wars of Scotland under Edward.

Foot sores range Is too early, look at Mirliton, Gripping Beast, First Corps, foot you could be the plastic fireforge with shield swap outs, I also use some old glory bits too.
For the later armies I use claymore miniatures and Mirliton knights.

An early version of the rules, which was available free on the website iirc, had many similarities with Games Workshop's Lord of the Rings skirmish rules, which for me was a plus. It wasn't restricted to just d6s, though, and there were some differences that I can't recall.
Unfortunately I don't know if the current (very nice-looking) rules share that lineage, or are an entirely new set of rules. I couldn't find any reviews either, and I think they're a bit pricey for me to consider buying without knowing more.
