My lovely Missus' birthday is coming up next month and while she is not a wargamer, she is a D&D RPGer, as well as an overall big SciFi/fantasy fan. If not the at the top of her list, at least in the top 3, is Tolkien's Hobbit and Bag End. Therefore when a US distributor landed a copy of a certain Zitredes facade on this side of the Atlantic I knew what I was going to do. I'm going to be painting up a swell mini Hobbit lass by Redbox and creating what will hopefully turn out to be a lovely display base for her using the facade as a starting point. I'm not going to be building the whole hill, just the landing in front of the door and a bit over the facade. My deadline for everything being done is late October.

Thank you for looking.

Lucky wife! The Ziterdes’ stuff is brilliant :)

Sounds like a great project. I've been looking at scratchbuilding a hobbit hole, but the project is stalled becuse of course I had dreams of grandeur: doing the whole hill with a lift-off top to show the interior rooms.
Much better to keep it simple. Keep us updated with pics.

Good idea, but I think I'd want to landscape it a bit; I think Jackson's Shire is one of the best-realised bits in the movie.
