Title: Some Dinky Toys and Matchbox Recce vehicles for 28mm wargames
Post by: dadlamassu on 19 September 2020, 06:39:18 PM
I have been increasing our collection of vehicles for our 28mm Bolt S=Action games with my son and his mates:

Some British recce vehicles - the Daimler Armoured Cara are old Dinky Toys and the Dingoes are Matchbox Scout Cars.  Both are very slightly the wrong size but very close, perfectly serviceable and certainly a lot cheaper than kits as they are old toys of mine and kids.

For some upcoming games that were planned before we were "Borised" again, that I had decided were to be recce based rather than an attack/defence or delaying action, advance to contact etc I have been scouring the old boxes.  All in all a massive saving on the price of plastic or resin models.

The Poundland Jeeps are also very close to 1/56 (I have added scratch built MMGs)

This one is of indeterminate scale but fits nicely for size and look
