Title: Zulu wars - British backpacks
Post by: Charley Bourne on 24 September 2020, 09:09:33 AM
Empress Miniatures have a set of accessories which includes backpacks for British troops.

All of these have pith helmets attached. Are there any manufacturers that make similar packs without the helmets attached?

Thank you.

The only ones I know of are in the Perry plastic Second Afghan War/Sudan British Infantry box, as seen in this pic of a spare sprue:

Their Zulu War plastic British Infantry may include similar packs, but I don't know.  Maybe someone else with hands-on experience of the Zulu War British Infantry box can say either way.

Not all the helmets are attached to the packs. Iirc some separate.

The ones circled red are the only ones that don't have a helmet attached.

The large 'double packs' all have helmets on them.
