Another big release by Things from the Basement:
All 28mm kits of our successful "Farms of Gettysburg" Kickstarter are now available!
After the rewards have been shipped (except a few, because of missing addresses) they have now been added to the website. 15mm versions have been released last week already.
You can choose between individual kits or the Ultimate Set.

Things-
Really great stuff. Handy for FIW, AWI, 1812 and ACW.
But one question: Have you got any tips for painting the stonework?
It appears that drybrush would not work, as the stones are not raised.
Paint each stone individually?
-
Thank you, Pan!
I painted the stone walls in a beige/buff color. And then used 5-6 different colors for the stones and painted them individually. It takes a while and is very relaxing ;)
Maybe someone else comes up with a faster method?
-
Things:
You should post something on your website, asking for techniques!

My method certainly won't be faster, but I always love painting stone work! I'll spray with several colours in light spritzes to get a nicely speckled base stone colour. Then individually dry brush for variety, then brush paint the mortar.
-
If shipping to Europe wasn't this expensive, I'd get them all
-
LOVE it! Awesome kits.
-
Very high on the must buy list.

I would have thought the ranges of ready-coloured, textured "wall papers" from model railway manufacturers would give a quicker result.
-
Baron-
They likely would. But when one starts down the road of significantly modifying a kit,
I think you might as well scratch build, and save the money.
-
Pan —
Having gone way far down the road of modifying Things From The Basement kits for Sleepy Hollow, and having scratchbuilt many a model over the years, I can definitely say that using the kits as a starting base has saved me great amounts of time over building from scratch to get this level of detail!

Well, I gotta say. Your buildings sure look good!
