Title: What I painted in August (2009)
Post by: Hammers on 19 August 2009, 08:48:17 AM
Nothing was painted in August. Nothing at all. Whatsoever. Zip, nilch, nada! Well, correct me if I am wrong, off course...

Sweden is closer to the North Pole, so they have shorter Augusts. In the far north of Lappland it is already November.

Well, what can I say. As the caveat said I may be wrong and apparently August is not yet over. :)

Considering we are only just over half way through the month I've painted approx 20 WWII Japanese infantry, one Japanese Type 95 light tank an one Late War French officer.

I'll most probably be able to paint another 15 more Japanese infantry plus some support weapons.

This is my production of figures for august….

…the Gangsters…

…Gangsters Dolls…

…Bystanders…

…the State Troopers.

only 32 figures plus some touch-ups on some old figures I wanted to sell. The fact is that, with my two last month production (nearly 200 figures) and the LPL, I’m slowly running out of figures to paint! lol   :o   :'(

The nun is not a conversion. I believe that it is a LTD ED from Foundry.

Something...could be better, could be worse. I'd say it was an OK month, considering that I spent a week abroad and another week sorting out related issues.

Gentlemen's book and gun club:

Orcs of low moral fiber:

Boring stuff:

Large pics and manufacturers:

Gentlemen (http://dolmot.net/mini/Arkham/cult-1200.jpg) - Artizan
Orcs (http://dolmot.net/mini/WM/orcpirates-1500.jpg) - Black Hat (currently...I think)
Tombstones (http://dolmot.net/mini/terrain/grave-1500.jpg) - Armorcast
Vehicles (http://dolmot.net/mini/techy/tracked-1500.jpg) - Micro Art, Forge World
Drill (http://dolmot.net/mini/techy/drill-1000.jpg) - Ramshackle

Phew. My web host was a bit slow when I wrote this. If the pics don't seem to load, please try again later.

Some fantastic stuff here already. The most important thing I did this month was read the manual for my camera. As a result, I give you passable photos! (hurrah!);
Dixon (left) and copplestone 1920's Americans;

Let's see, in August I painted:

1) several stands of Russian Civil War infantry by Copplestone and Brigade Games (20 - 24 figures)

2) West Wind's Czar and Czarina: http://www.westwindproductions.co.uk/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=2_30&products_id=307  (Haven't done the kids yet)

3) A couple of plastic GW tyranids

4) This guy: http://www.reapermini.com/FigureFinder#detail/50055

5) Made an abortive attempt at some 10mm Scottish pikemen, but will pick it up again next month.

6) A few terrain features for my RCW stuff. I'm going for a wintery, snow-covered theme.

7) Scratch-built a Bolshevik armored car, but have not yet painted it.

Didn't think to take pictures of any of it.  :(

Citadel Chaos Sorceror from the 1980s. I think he was from a grab bag of damaged or miscast miniatures, because he's missing the top of his staff.

The only miniature I fully painted and based in the last month.
