Title: Looking for civilian seated figures from the Victorian era
Post by: War In 15MM on November 09, 2020, 02:08:43 AM
Does anyone make 28mm seated Victorian era figures?  I am looking for urban and town folk.  I am not looking for Old West figures... definitely not cowboys and while I love the Foundry Darkest Africa figures, I already have the seated figures (male and female) from that figure line.  Dixon Miniatures makes an Old West line that has two seated stagecoach, non-cowboy figures (one male and one female) and I have those.  I'm not looking for cowboys playing poker.  I am not in search for wagon or carriage drivers.  I am looking for civilian, urban figures who would be seated on a chair... just sitting there.  Thank you.

Eureka do a pack of 2 hansom cab passengers, presumably Victorian, but there are no pictures on their website...

Thanks.  I'll check it out.  I didn't realize that they did a separate pack.

IIRC there are a few littered around the Redoubt ranges. Not sure if available without carriages/carts/rickshaws

My concern about Eureka is whether the Hansom Cab passengers are full or just upper body.  I have an email out to Nic but haven't heard back yet.  It looks like a good way to go is the Warbases Omnibus passenger set... looks like it includes four seated figures.

Hey War in 15mm,  I did reply to you two days ago, we might be caught in your spam (we often are).
Now I know what you are looking for we have a 13 figure set of seated Victorians coming very soon. Sculpted by Alan Marsh, they are lovely.
Drop me a line at Eureka if you are interested.

Hi Nic, I didn't get that email which is unusual because my experience with you has been that I hear from you very quickly so spam probably blocked the communication.  I am interested and will look forward to those new seated figures.  I have been and continue to be a great fan of Eureka.

I just heard from Rob at Eureka USA and he has the new 13 figures Victorian civilians seated set.  I have one set on order... sight unseen, but I am absolutely sure that Eureka has made interesting figures... they always do.

Sent you a photo by e-mail this morning of the figures. Hopefully they will meet your expectations.

I got the photo.  I love the way the figures look.  I wouldn't change any but would suggest that if the opportunity comes your way, make a smaller additional set of just single figures... especially a couple women.  That said, I am thrilled with what I saw and looking forward to the arrival of the real thing.
