Figures painted by Jeff Davies !!!

I painted these for Mike Snook the owner of Iron Duke Miniatures, he will be doing the basing which I hope will finish them off nicely.
When I did the Highlanders for him he took some cracking photos of them and hopefully he'll do the same with these.
Next up, the 22nd in India :)
-
EDIT: They are superb Jeff :-* :-* :-*
The red on their tunics is the perfect tone 8)

I'm too lazy to comment on all three threads, Jeff, so take this to refer to the lot of them: You've done a bang up job. Really tasty. If I was Snook I'd be cock-a-hoop to have my ranges showcased in this way.

Cheers Plynkes, very kind of you to say so :)

A nice set of photos covering the 43rd Regt at the Battle of Berea (S. Africa 20th December 1852).
Figures and photos by Iron Duke Miniatures, sculpted by Paul Hicks and painted by me :)
If you like them check out the ID FB page or the gallery on the Iron Duke website.

Fantastic painting Jeff. :-* :-* :-*

Nicely done sir! Nicely done! Inspiring! I already have suitable natives, the Basuto war would give me an excuse to buy more miniatures!
Have you thought of making a Durnford before he lost the use of his left arm?

Sorry, I don't make them i just paint them up lol
Iron Duke are renowned for their Officer packs so who knows?
-
Great brushwork!

Durnford was in Ceylon at the time of the conflict these figures are for. He wasn't stationed in South Africa until the 1870s, roughly twenty years later. If you want a two-armed Durnford for his activities before the Zulu War, that's a whole other range, against a different enemy. But if Mike Snook wants to take that path I'm not going to complain.
Jeff, your painting is a great advert for some lovely figures. :)
