Title: Sharing a few new Spinespur Greens
Post by: Cranky on 21 August 2009, 09:47:33 PM
First up is a Nightengale. These are the Female medics for the Men of G.O.D. 2 different poses will come per blister.

Next are some Wild Dogs that will come in the wild dog blister. A Rottweiler, Doberman and a Pittbull. The artist is reworking the running one which is supposed to be a German Shepard. He felt it looked too much like a fox.

Then we have the dark Cardinal Inferni.

Just figured I'd share some pics of things to come for Spinespur.

The dogs are great, although I agree that the one looks a little foxy.

Cardinal Inferi is lovely, and the Nightingale is a great execution of the concept. And can the miniature world ever have enough nice looking generic dog breed miniatures?

Not when some of us need to zombify them no is the answer!  lol

Nice all apart from the fox/pig German Shepard. ;)

Nice. Very nice.

Now we need to find the cat that inevitability shows up to get the dogs pulling the walker along.  ;)

It goes without saying I love the dogs...  :D

But the Nightengale is a wonderful figure.

Those dogs are great, and I can very easily see picking a pack of them up - lots and lots of uses for doggies!

The wraith is neat - I seem to be wandering into fantasy skirmish slowly so new fantasy stuff is cool to see!

Excellent figures!  Looking forward to having them released.  Now how about Torn versions of the dogs?! :D lol

I agree entirely. Nightengale is on a par with Hasslefree females in my opinion. Gorgeous  :-*

wow

seldom seen such a good female miniature
are there female soldiers as well?
I read 30 mm
is there a size comparison with, say CC?

They are the healers for the Men of G.O.D. They have some combat experience themselves, but their roles are defined as healers.

As for the size, we measure and have sculpted from the top of the head. Ask 6 different people about where to measure from for scale and you'll get 7 different answers. Comfy Models are all based off a 32mm top of head measurement.

I'm happy people dig the new greens.

??
I checked it out myself
I simply wanted to know if the range includes female soldiers, since I collect female soldiers
and on the size - I don't care about scale differences, since I mix figures from many companies
I think proportions and style is more important for compatibility, so I simply asked for a comparison picture
is there one? preferrably with Greygun

I'm going to go out on a limb here and guess that the original poster is not the sculptor, and since the green has that "in-progress" look about it (what with the concept art behind, and the cork and all) it probably isn't in the hands of Cranky, so he can't post comparison pics.  ???

There are nuns with gasmasks in the existing range, but there aren't many female individuals, or units in the rules of the game, so there are very few figures to match. There is nothing I would traditionally consider to be a "female soldier".

This is fromthe Comfychair games forum.

As part of my 100% honesty policy.........

I had a set of 5 greens I sent to the production facility last week. The production place recieved a cut open package, greens missing.

I have a few back-up releases I gotta get going on.

I'm in contact with postal inspectors right now and I swear by all that is holy I'll bring criminal charges on any company I see producing them! I have tracked back the route to two postal handeling places where the theft happened and I've been talking with the office of the Postal Inspector General who is in the middle of the investigation.

I'm a very ruthless person when it comes to people who steal from me and the lengths I go to be sure I get back whats mine. So be assured things will move along as normal, I just have some husteling to do and I gotta light a fire under a few sculptors butts. (They can sometimes move at their own pace.)

So no worries, just let me know if you see anyone selling Nightengales, Cardinal Inferni or Hidell.

The trouble is, the greens have been pilfered  :(

I hope they can be re-scupted, though, as Nightengale is definitely on my "must-have" list.

Now, I think some people around know me as a bit of a connaisseur when it comes to dog miniatures, so let me say that's the best Altasian sculpt I've seen. I noticed directly what it was, before reading your post. Most look like wolves at best. The others are just, ahaha, the dog's bollocks. It looks like the Duke of Nutherland Kennel Club of Monimasket will shortly be accepting new members.
