I'm about to get a new kickstarter running. I like this one a lot. Really easy to paint and make it look good. You'll need a 3d printer which are coming down severly in price lately for good quality ones.
This particular set of ruins has an arch theme to it.

They look nicely Lord of the Ring-y.

I didn't even think of that, but yes they do. Thanks :)
-
They look cracking shame they are 3d printed
-
Looks good for some Gondorish style ruins
-
Once again, these look great.
-
Will these be available for sale after the KS?
-
Lovely looking stuff. For some reason I'm more taken with the cobbled roadways than the actual buildings! lol
-
Very nice rendering all around. Hope it does well!
-
Nicely done :)

Less than 2 days to go on this.

Sorry. Just feeling the need to rant.
So this fulfilled in January and then during March, one of the backers, who backed $235 of products decides to contact their credit card and get the charge reversed. I spend a few hours gathering evidence that not only have I sent the reward to them, but they have also received it and redeemed the files and downloaded them. So now I'm out of pocket a weeks worth of groceries for my 5 person family. Absolutely livid with the person. They didn't even try to contact me about it first, making me think it was a scam even more.
Rant over.
A little bit of stress relieved. (accidentally wrote that all in caps first, looked a bit ragy, lol )

Sorry to hear that :(
I could donate £20 for maybe a road stl file if it helps?
-
Sometimes I really wonder whats wrong with people. So sorry to hear this, and I think you are fully entitled to rage!
-
That sucks big time, BC. Just shared this with my backer buddy, see if we can help you out a bit. Looks pretty darn good, those ruins ( missed this KS totally due to real life issues ).

Agree with Sir Theo but unfortunately that’s the world we live in.
If it helps I am halfway through printing the files and they are great.
Don’t let one selfish greedy idiot get you down.
All the best for future projects and hopefully it was a one off.

That's basically a scam, no? They buy in to the kickstarter, receive the goods (which you can prove), then claim their money back. What have Kickstarter said about it?

PM me if you need another "pseudobaker". I don't even have a 3D printer but who cares...

Thanks, It's fine though. It's not anywhere near to breaking the bank. Just annoyed that someone things they can just play the system to get free stuff. Sometimes I really wonder whats wrong with people. So sorry to hear this, and I think you are fully entitled to rage!
Lol, thanks. I'm much calmer now :) Just chalking it up to bad business. On the plus side. It is all digital files so I'm not out of stock or anything like that. That sucks big time, BC. Just shared this with my backer buddy, see if we can help you out a bit. Looks pretty darn good, those ruins ( missed this KS totally due to real life issues ).
Thanks, but only if you want the stuff. I have plenty of other campaigns coming up that will include this stuff. Just hope I can block that guy rather than having to check each time.

I think Yes, hard to really prove though. Kickstarter alerted me to it and forwarded through all my evidence to the credit card company. I've contacted them again to see if I can personally contact the credit card company to find out why they were believed over me. What evidence did they have? I had kickstarter evidence from DriveThruRPG that I had sent it to the email provided and also contacted DTRPG (they do my fulfillment) about whether they had redeemed the codes, which they had (maybe even downloaded? can't remember).

Thanks Tadgie. Nice to hear that you like the stuff :) You're right it is the world we live in and I'm mostly over it now :) Thanks
I'm very reasonable and if they had contacted me with a legitimate reason I would have understood. Yes hard times and all that with the pandemic and I would have been more than happy to help out if that was the reason. But not one word of communication. I'm not going to communicate with them either as I don't think I would say anything very nice. Oh well. 3 years and it is my first issue. I should count myself lucky. :)

Sorry to hear about the shady customer, that’s disappointing.
I’ve been looking at 3D printers, and projects like this really drive me towards wanting to buy one. Any suggestions on a good starter, noob friendly, printer?
I look forward to seeing your future builds.

The best beginner one I can think of is the Ender 3 V2 (I have a Ender 3 Pro which is the earlier version) They are fairly easy to get going and cheap compared to other printers too. FDM printers (the extruded plastic sort) are mostly only good for terrain. Resin printers are better for miniatures (although you can get some good results on an FDM sometimes)
-
ruins look great. 3D printing really does look the biz now.
shame about the shyster - you're displaying an admirable response to it in letting it go. Glad it's not such a sum that you have to get into a fight about it - and that it's the only experience of this sort you've had.
-
.Thanks, but only if you want the stuff. I have plenty of other campaigns coming up that will include this stuff.
Oh, I want them for sure. Just have to put the thumbscrews on my backer buddy a bit more, it seems :D
Will get back to you.

Hope you get sorted mate :?

No reply from kickstarter yet so we'll see. Thanks :)
