Title: 15mm Mordheim
Post by: amunptah on 30 December 2020, 10:23:26 PM
Just finished my first game of Mordheim since 2000! Got back into the hobby a couple of months ago, and painted up two mercenary warbands in 15mm from Alternative Armies. Space is an issue for me so being able to play a scenario intended for a 4’ square table (in 28mm scale) in just 48cm square in 15mm is awesome.
All of the terrain in the photo was created by me with expanding foam and static grass. I finished painting them up today. The wooden bridges are popsicle sticks.
The only bought terrain are the trees and barricades. I got the trees from my local art shop for £2 each! They hook into my felt play surface so I don’t even need to base them! The barricades are from Alternative Armies also.
I’m going to purchase the Red Vector 15mm fantasy ruins set soon. Has anyone seen any other UK suppliers for 15mm fantasy scatter terrain and buildings?

Very cool idea!
did you change the ranges of the weapons to account for the scale change or simply left as is?

I just swapped everything from inches to cm. I know there is an alternative method of dividing distances by something or other, but I couldn’t face the calculations, especially when it comes to the small distances with crawling and falling rules!

A warrior faces off against a champion, while two larger groups eye each other up on the bridge.

Two handgunners take potshots from the ridge, while Randalf the Warlock hurls a fireball at another hastily reloading.

Some more of my terrain drying. Considering selling some if anyone thinks it is up to scratch. Had a blast making it!

Great project  :). I'm doing something very similar but in 1/72 scale with ranges changed to centimeters.

I’ve not found many miniatures in 1/72. Do you have to do a lot of customisation?

Apart from mercenaries I have to scuplt everything.

Hello,

Dark Alliance made 20mm fantasy figures sets. Orks, dwarfs, undead and elfs. Anything in hard plastic, even mounted and monsters.

 Good luck, Hermann

You are more dedicated than me. In 15mm there are a ton of available miniatures.
