I've painted quantities of 18mm figures for Frostgrave but these are my first attempts at painting 28mm Frostgrave adventurers.

Well done, show us more please.

He looks suitably worn and battle weary - nice pj!

Thanks!
Here's my second less successful attempt for anyone who didn't follow the link in the OP.

Now I see, but its not that disturbing. Findt you want to try to glaze the head a bit?
-
I could do but there's the dreaded mould line across his bonce!
-
Very nice work.

I guess this is a more successful attempt at a cold look than the last one.

My first 28mm Frostgrave wizard and apprentice. I'm still noticing unsightly blemishes so no varnish on any of the figures yet.

Good work, Michael.
-
Nice.

Those are great - I like the desaturated look.
I'm also happy to see you painted that apprentice's head with the ears on the outside... I just painted it myself and was worried I had messed it up. Must be a very form-fitting hood. :)
-
:o looking good!!!

You are so right. What you need in the Frozen City are ear warmers! I'm still getting used to the way the plastics are cast and how it leaves some things open to interpretation. I might try painting the ears but the detail just isn't there.

Thanks for the comments!
Here's a shot of the warband so far all together.

Great looking gang!

I love the thoughts you give about the details you are after, I wish I had a small fraction of your skill with the brush.
-
Very nice group indeed.

A good looking bunch of ne'er do wells.
