These are great, kinda makes me wish I did BCW but they might fit in well with my cthulhu gaming :D.
Hope you are ok and sure we will see you soon
Ben & Lump on sofa called Jo

The Brigands and Characters are great. Good work.
-
the priest is awesome
hello don camillo
-
Don Camillo! It is!
-
These are brilliant !
-
Wonderful stuff as always. Got to get them to add to my VBCW masses.
-
Are these available to buy right now or are you showing us a pre-release?
-
Blast them! They're going to cost me a fortune! :)
Great figures!
-
Nice to see some more new figures on this subject but what about an order that I sent and paid for on 1st August.
Nothing received from Musketeer Miniatures despite 3 emails to them.
I appreciate that moving premises may be causing a hold up in despatching orders but a little bit of customer service would be appreciated.
-
I can see that priest running alongside some Carlist troops in 1936 ;D
-
Bandenero, the move for Bill has been hard but I think he no has somewhere to base Musketeer in Manchester. He is also due to the move not on-line 24 hours a day. Bill is one of the most customer service sensitive vendors out there plese give him time I'm sure he is working hard to get the figures to you.
-
I absolutely agree Paul. I am sure Bill will sort it out.
Jo :)

These are without doubt some of the nicest looking figures that Paul Hicks has done so far, and I have painted up most of his SCW ones. Well done and please keep this range expanding. It fills a lot of gaps for lots of people in a whole range of historical and non historical settings, and lets face it are just a joy to paint.
I have so far held off BCW but these have just tipped the balance for me. Expect an order from Australia very soon (as soon as these are released).
Thanks for sharing.

I suspect that it's out of Bill's hands... having relocated to the NW myself and relocated within it once or twice, I've found that the various internet providers are frustratingly slow to get you connected up, especially if you are an existing customer for some reason... so your e-mails and order will be backed up with everyone else's. Most companies promise to deliver within 28 days when they are running normally, so cutting Bill a bit of slack atm would be polite. I'm sure yours and everyone else's order will be dealt with in turn a soon as Bill is able to do so. :)

Bandenero
see my post on TMP about this, if you PM me your name I'll let Bill know.

It's a little bit fast off the mark to be asking about deliveries & things - apart from the occasional inefficiency of the UK postal service coupled with the summer flu pandemic (plus the test match cricket - how many blokes 'phoned in sick whilst that was on ?) haven't there also been a few minor postal strikes during August ?
We sent a postcard first class from Edinburgh to Scarborough which coincided with a postal strike so took 8 days to arrive.

But back on topic, these are seriously good-looking figures.
Now if he would just make some figures suitable for boat crews (some of those brigands will be fine, but some armed trawlermen would be handy)
-
there are 4 packs of merchant sailors from brigade games, armed and barehanded
plus MG crew plus diver crew
-
Hey Bill how ya doin. Got the figures Tuesday get them back to you asap.
-
These figures are really nice, they have a lot of character. There are several I would like to add to my "Pulp" Armies. Where can I buy them here in the States?
-
Brigade Games stocks Musketeer in the States.
-
They are lovely sculpts.. so much character!

I'm not long into my 28mm RCW project and am trying to keep focused, but having miniatures like this thrust under my nose really doesn't help. I find the whole BCW setting so evocative and, as the fella before pointed out, these miniatures simply ooze character...bet they paint up nicely, too... Okay: take a deep breath, get a grip, and wait for Musketeer to augment their superb WW1 Russian line instead... STAY THE COURSE, Funghy old boy! ::)

look, I am doing RCW as well, but many of the workers militia are also very useful for RCW
and besides, BCW III is an alternative setting, so what prevents You from expanding it and creating a new socialist party to counter Mosleys troops?
with appropriate painting there is no problem using them for RCW and vice versa, and even for SCW
the only thing is you need replaceable flags

That is not helpful! I do appreciate your comments and the plausibility of what you say, but for the time being must abstain. One of the main reasons being the amount and variety of very arousing (for me at least) armour avaliable in the late 30's and the burgeoning number of scale models of said suitable for 28mm gaming. No, the distraction would be too great!
-
OKOK
I hope you are not pissed ;)
I must admit that my intention to expand RCW with the said miniatures is a plan
but in these things I am very strict
I keep avirtual collection on my PC, where I store interesting minis by manufacturer and package, and I do photoshop them into combinations to see how they would fit and also check them when I see them in reality
this way I avoid buying mistakes, I can always look at them and am less tempted to buy
when the stage then comes when I could proceed to buying (because I want to wargame them), I reconsider and then proceed eventually
I did shelve some projects because the interesting range became to numerous
is this helpful?

Stay strong and don't think of being able to use a Vickers Medium Tank in anger, nor the thought of Carden-Loyd tankettes.... Before you know it you'll be building kits of Hawker Furies and designing 'special flags' for your factions... Resist! ;)

You're trying to do what I set out doing...it doesn't work...You may as well succumb now, resistance is futile. I was suckered in by Musteteer, Brigade and Anglian/ Empress eye candy, now I'm working on SCW/VBCW militia types and they're among the favourite miniatures I've ever bought. Give in to the call of VBCW and SCW..become one of us....RCW can co-exist as project with the others (esp. with armoured vehicles!)

Armed vicars? Something not quite C of E there you know. What happened to turning the other cheek I wonder in 1938?
-
Obviously they haven't attended an Alpha Course. ;)
