We played a game of Stargrunt the other day. It is an easy to understand set of rules and we had a blast! https://antonswargame.blogspot.com/2021/01/stargrunt-ii-recover-stealth-technology.html (https://antonswargame.blogspot.com/2021/01/stargrunt-ii-recover-stealth-technology.html)

I am a fan!

Nice batrep, shame it ended up going downhill so rapidly!
Love the super tank as well, that paintjob is excellent.

An excellent battle report. Great table and minis, especially the tanks. Looks like you folks had fun.
I have not played Stargrunt, however I have reread through the rules... quite tasty looking if crunch is your thing.

Very cool

The thing I love about Stargrunt is that it is as "crunchy" as you want it to be. Most of that "crunch" is just add-on stuff. The core mechanics are pretty much just straight dice shifting/target number stuff if IIRC.
It reminds me a bit of Tomorrow's War/Force-on-Force in a sense. Sure, there are rules for off-table artillery support and air dropped assets.... but you can play them just fine without that stuff too.

Great batrep. Brings back fond memories.
