Title: Boxer Rebellion Reserection
Post by: princeman on 02 February 2021, 03:46:40 PM
Set up my old 55 days at Peking game for fun. Will revisit my homemade rules and tweak them a bit.

Thanks! I spent about 10 years off and on gathering figures, buildings and trying to come up with rules that would play fast at a convention and still have a fun Hollywood feel. We had about 12 to 15 players from the Mid-America Wargames club and it worked out pretty good. But then life got in the way and it sat in boxes until now. Since that game I have added another 150 Chinese and a couple of rickshaws and more civilians. Tweaking the rules to add more detail and a bit of tactics and card play.

Convention games are the base to recruit some new club members. Must be fun and attractive for the players and the public . ;)

Over the years I've often dreamt of doing a 55 Days at Peking sort of game, but the urban terrain required has always made it a nonstarter. Seeing your set-up makes the fingers quiver, however. Very well done!

Thanks for all the kind comments.

May be the new issue of the plastic Wargame Atlantic Boxer will drive more people to this period.  ;)
