Hi there! I recently rediscovered the fun of Pulp Alley in the second edition rules, and was inspired to throw together a solo game, inspired by some talk on their YouTube channel. For your reading pleasure I present, Dr Fang, the good guy...

That looked like a fun romp. Thanks for sharing.

Wow, fantastic!

It must be awfully troublesome for Doctor Fang to be constantly harassed by foreign devils.

Politically incorrect, but any time I see major characters with pulpy oriental names, it brings to mind a villain character from "Get Smart" TV show in the 60's.
He was a stereotypical menacing oriental man who in addition to all of his inscrutable and nefarious plans and ploys, he was known as "The Claw" because his left hand was bit off in some encounter with mystical beings from the elsewhere and he replaced it with...A CLAW!!!! (insert sinister music here).
The running joke was a play on the inability of him to be able to pronounce the "L" in claw, so every time he'd make some loud pronouncement for effect, it came out wrong as "You are doomed. I am the CRAW!" which would get the reply "Craw?" and he'd angrily reply, "NO! Not Craw, CRAW! I am the CRAW!!!"

“Politically incorrect!”
LOL. Well, I always saw Pulp as one of the last bastions against the encroachment of the one-sided application of stereotype norms.
In Pulp, everyone is equally stereotyped, an exaggeration, a caricature if you will. And none of it is meant to be taken seriously. Besides, it’s supposed to provide (through immersion and suspension of disbelief) a flavor of caricatures from a different time, not today.

To be totally honest, The Claw was always my favourite villain from Get Smart! Though Bernie Kopell's Siegfried came a close second... lol

Two questions:
- How tall are those foo dogs?
- And where did you get them?

I suspect I have bad news for you on the Foo dogs...they're about 55mm high including the base, but unfortunately they're a built in part of the "temple" terrain piece. It's an aquarium decoration I picked up years ago, and they're molded in at their backs. I do have one of the Reaper Foo dogs around here somewhere...I think it's standing on all fours and it's a similar size.
Huh, just realized...when I use the Foo dog in the game, whoever fights it is a "foo fighter"! :D

Thanks!
And good one, “foo fighters”. :)
