Thanks for posting. The perfect accompaniment for some miniature painting.

I read the Nine Years War last year. Really good stuff.

Thanks for the heads up Stecal. I am saving his excellent material for when I take the evitable plunge into the Nine Years War (as I know it will trigger an immediate about-turn, priority project!  :)). I have his book waiting on my bookshelf for that day (and OB's blog!).

Thanks for the mention Skirmisher and the link.  Maurice Kyffin certainly knew his stuff.  I loved his "certain ridiculous gallants" remark.
