Title: Mexican revolution figures
Post by: rebelzippy on 11 February 2021, 12:09:54 PM
Learned gamers - looking to expand my 25/28mm Mexican revolution collection. I am based in the Uk.

Predominantly interested in mounted US troops......

Other than old glory 25's any other alternatives?

thanks

Alas, I think Old Glory are the only game in town for mounted US Cavalry, if you exclude the truly execrable ex-Oupost 25mm range, now with Badger Games in the US.

It’s a great pity that Brigade Games never made mounted versions of their Paul Hicks sculpted dismounted cavalry. It’s about the only thing that’s put me off doing the period. I’ve even looked into how much work/pain would be involved in converting the Perry ACW cavalry.

That said the OG figures seem to be one of their better ranges, less gurning acrobats but still with the attendant problems of some misshapen and undersized equipment.

Try the Britannia range, now with Grubby Tanks.
I have never had any trouble with him, though it can
be difficult to get a response (he always seems busy).
I'm told best to phone him.

While not much help for the US Cavalry side of things, Bob Murch has a small line of Mexican revolutionaries:
