Are there any rules that are like Flames of War or Battlegroup for sci-fi games?

I have used Tomorrows War, based on the Force on Force rules.
Cheers

How about Dropzone Commander? It's written for 10mm, but the squad bases are the same size and shape as those in FoW...

Both Tomorrows War and DZ commander are "dead"..
I just don't get how there isn't a 15mm company+ scale hard sci-fi miniatures game that is successful/fully supported.

Dropzone Commander isn't "dead" it's produced and sold by TTcombat and supported by them.

DZ commander may also be the best option for a Mass battle generic sci fi game.
Tomorrows War is to my mind a Skirmish Squad level game. For anyone who is well acquainted with the rules and likes complicated rulesets including platoons of troops and vehicles is possible. However from my experience, even managing a few squads can take forever.
It would be nice to have a FOW style ruleset for Sci Fi, it may be that FOW rules could be adapted but not sure if any one really gunning for that right now.
Another option might be Critical Mass now owned by Ral Partha, I'm pretty sure CM developed its own ruleset aiming for mass battles but I've never tried it so can't comment on it.

What does that even mean?
Gruntz
Dirtside II
Stargrunt
Just off the top of my head.....

"Dead" - typically means unsupported, so unpopular, not 'cool' etc.
A few people feel because a game isn't "officially" supported anymore it is "dead" and isn't worth investing in. Arguably this is more to do with local gaming scenes and how likely you are to get a game against someone with said system.
However, I know supported systems for which I know no players and unsupported systems for which I know several players. Warmaster, for example, continues to have popularity at my local club, but the likes of Warmachine/Hordes and Malifaux etc haven't been played in the 5+ years I have been involved. Horses for courses.
