Title: Figure & Parts ID Help
Post by: Onebigriver on March 13, 2021, 02:02:26 PM
I'm clearing out the remnants of the lead and plastic mountains and thinning out the bits boxes, and was hoping for some help identifying some figures and parts so that they can head for Ebay:

Farly confident there's part of a Dark Eldar vehicle but no idea which one, ditto for the Necron-ish thing and possibly a metal flying stand? The two sets of wings have me baffled.

I think one of the figures is modern infantry. The figure in the middle I was painting as WW2 Soviet but things seemed a bit off with kit and helmet cover. No idea where the orc comes from.

Cheers for any help.

The Dark Eldar bit is one of the sides for a Ravager.

The big wings are from the GW Warmaster High Elf Dragon

The smaller wings might be Warmaster too, perhaps one of the undead armies

The orc is a Chronicle Miniatures "Orc on Giant Warwolf".

Poor guy. He must be lonely without his wolf pal.

I think the three sets of wings are from the old Grenadier 6mm scale Dragon Lords range.

Cheers Manic, wasn't even aware that Grenadier had released 6mm scale game! Unfortunately pics are too grainy for comparison.

If it helps, the modern on the left is US ww2 sniper (appears to be marine/pacific).
The placement of his equipment screams it.
Here's an Empress ww2 US infantry fig to compare below

The one on the right I'm almost certain is German ww2 infantry with MP40 ( weapon and ammo pouch), rolled sleeves suggest fallschirmjager.

What scale are they? The german doesn't look derailed enough to be over 20mm.

Thanks Ranthony! They are 28mm - my photography skills aren't that great!

Necronish thing is from the Ctan Nightbringer. Necron, as you said. The thing beside it looks tyranidish.

I had the WW2 US sniper at one point... I want to say it was from Warlord games?

The thing on left is from the underside of a Battlefleet Gothic Eldar capital ship. Not sure if it's from the Corsairs (http://www.solegends.com/citcat2005spc/c2005spcp0061-00.htm), or from the Craftworlds (http://www.solegends.com/citcat2005spc/c2005spcp0060-01.htm) fleet, though I suspect it's from the Corsairs (Eclipse Class Cruiser prow launch bay would be my bet).

Do you have more angles of the other two parts please? I think the one on the right might be a space defence station or fuel depot built into an asteroid, and there seems to be some symbols or icons on the sides of the jump pack. Both look familiar, and if I can see them better and from other angles, I could probably identify them for you. :)

The metal blob on the right is the base for a wH40K Necron Lord - C'Tan Shard Nightbringer. The things you can see are Necron Scarabs.

TBH I thought you meant the ovoid component rather than the base myself.

Belated thanks to Major Gilbear for ID help too.
