So after watching "For All Mankind" I took the plunge and ordered some vac suited 15mm minis from Ground Zero Games for some "Moongrunt-ish" style skirmish games. Maybe more of an exploration themed idea than a hard Moongrunt game.
I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for Lunar surface beasties in 15mm to give my astronauts a fright?

How about these? Nice and big ( terrifying) for 15mm figures? Or any of the various bugs available?

And I rather like these:

Some possible ideas from the blog, a mix of critters and aliens:
Rebel Miniatures - their store site is worth a dig as well, there's other things in both 15mm and 28mm scales that might suit.

If you search the blog on the Stargrunt keyword tag you'll get al the other Moongrunt stuff I've posted as well.
If you collected the RAFM Call of Cthulhu figs at all, many of their Mythos critter packs come with little bonus minis that make excellent roughly man-sized aliens in 15mm scale, and of course the larger models could just be bigger beasties in that scale as well. Checking 15mm fantasy ranges like the ones from Splintered Light and Alternative Armies might also get some useful figs, many of the more gonzo monsters make passable alien things.
Also take a look at Warlord's Gates of Antares range for a whole bunch of floating drones (some of them biotechnological) that look nice as 15mm combat robots/remotes.

Thanks alot gents! Those Edo Trappers are AMAZING! Very terrifying!
Rich, are those Rebel Minis re-releases of the old Mongoose SST bugs?

I’m in the process of painting mine in similarly crustacean looking colours. For Moongrunt ( if it is a moon like ours) I would go with greys, unsurprisingly. Now you have reminded me, I may have to get more. I have some Moongrunt figures painted, but so far unused...

The big worm is, not sure about the little guys. Big boy is now (as of a few years back, anyway) cast with a two-part resin body and metal maw - still need a little gap filling with putty but much lighter and easier to work with than the wretched all-metal ones Mongoose was selling. Reb has got the rights to quite a lot of the non-plastic SST figs at this point, they're scattered all over his store in various categories.

Thanks Rich. Yeah I noticed that about the various old SST line. He's even got the Grizzly Exo Suits. Great models.

They are, and his castings are (again) miles better than the Mongoose ones were. Funny thing is you still see the occasional hopeful (or dishonest) ebay seller trying to get a mint for "OOP SST" figs that Reb will sell you for half the price. They even sell sometimes. Guess some folks just don't know.
