Switching gear away from planes with spats and starting on my collection of "What Were They Thinking?" aircraft. The lead-off plane HAD to be the BV 141; it wins for ugliness, impracticality and simply missing the point. more here: https://antonswargame.blogspot.com/2021/04/what-is-that-thing.html (https://antonswargame.blogspot.com/2021/04/what-is-that-thing.html)

I’d forgotten all about this weird plane!
The kit sounds even worse than the actual plane...
Did you make two, or have you did some photo jiggery pokery to get a brown version and a grey version?

I would never build another (OK , that's not true, but you would need a bushel basket of hundred dollar bills before I thought about it) the different color background freaks out the camera on my Galaxy S9 and shifts the entire color spectrum of the photo

Nice work, in spite of the kit's limitations. I checked the wikipedia entry, and they would seem to have been quite a bit faster and had a longer range than the FW 189, although perhaps they would have lacked its evasive manoeuvrability.

Hahaha, you sir, are a man after my own heart. I remember seeing a picture of one of these in an old Commando comic many moons ago and 8 year old me being somewhat puzzled by it. Definitely a lesson in "Just because you can, doesn't mean you should".
As for no one wanting a slow, poorly armed and unmanouverable recon plane... er, guilty. Given the choice between fielding effective but pedestrian units, or characterful trash, I'll field the obscure junk every time. Case in point; my proxy for the already rubbish Fairey Battle-
