Guys, ages ago i've seen somewhere a Captain Sparrow mini, could you please tell me who makes it? Not sure, maybe it was a special Con-whatever-mini :?:
-
I WANT IT TOO!
Please!
-
Sorry I don't know where that mini is but if you go to Black Cat Bases they have 2 pirates in progress. look in the workbench link. makes me want pirates.

I thought it was Heresy but I guess it isn't. I know the mini you're talking about...
-
I remember that figure as well. I've been looking for the miniature for quite some time, after I saw it on a webpage but lost the link (bookmark) in a HD crash...
Anyway, I read somewhere it was discontinued (maybe for legal purposes?) but of course that was a Internet Forum Truth (tm) so please take this with a grain of salt.
I'd love to get my grubby little paws on this figure.

Could this be the figure you are looking for ?

However he is 1/48 scale, but its defiantely Captain Jack :)
-
That's it! That's the one.
Or one of them. I think there was a limited edition one, too. Oh, god, I'm so confused.
There's this guy too. (http://sgtobidiah.blogspot.com/2006/09/old-glory-pirate-of-month.html) But I think there's one more. :freak:

This fellow (http://www.bronzeagemin.com/miniatures_html/25MM/historical/Pirates/28mm-pirate-1.htm) maybe? First miniature under 28mm pirates at Bronze Age Miniatures (http://www.bronzeagemin.com/miniatures_html/25MM/historical/Pirates/28mm-Pirates.htm).
(Yeah, yeah, I mention Bronze Age a lot - but I can't help it. David's one of my favourite peeps in the hobby)

Prof - Did you find the right one yet?
The HLBS one might be a bit too big, though he is the right one.
The one pointed out by Pete looks like it could pass as Jack Sparrow, and you can get him free by joining the OG Army.

yes, HLBS one was it.
i thought you can join the OG army only be living in the USA?
-
I just joined the OG Army and received 9 free Pirate captains already! Soon I will order all the Blue Moon packs that I am eyeing, and perhaps an OG Pirate ship!

wow, me has also to join :) But where? On the USA or UK Old Glory site?
-
I joined on the US site.
-
How does the shipping work out for European members of the OG Army? Their website is pretty much admitting that overseas orders come with punitive shipping charges (I really hate stores that will only ship by UPS, by the way). Do the discount and the free stuff still outweigh the shipping charges?
-
I really don't know cos I have not tried it yet.
I will let you know how it works out after I make my first order!
However, I decided to join because it makes it almost worthwhile just to get the 12 free Pirate captains!
-
As far as shipping charges go, I've had far worse and I live in Belgium.
If your order isn't too small, the favourable exchange rate and 40% discount largely covers the shipping and then some. Haven't had a parcel opened at customs and hit with taxes mind you, but if my estimate is more or less correct, that still shouldn't bump the total cost higher than ordering the same stuff from Old Glroy UK.

There was a small company that produced a Jack Sparrow, they did mainly fantasy stuff cant think who they are at the moment

Would that be the one with the slightly oversized hat? I forgot the name of the company, but IIRC correctly it was a new sculptor trying to break into the market with his first commercial figures.
-
Was it Mystic Spirals? I know they all sold out pretty quick and the figure came with a treasure chest if I am correct
