Title: Cake or Death?

I had a game of Necromunda over the summer with a couple of the lads at Sheffield Wargames Society.  Since we could only muster two gangs between us, I knocked out these chaps in just under a week.  With a bit longer, I think I would have done a bit more with the weapons, but I am still pleased with the way they turned out!

Very good for a week  :D I have a devil of a time getting anything done in a week.

I would say to put a bit more of a highlight on the robes (orangey rather than whitey, to make them a bit richer in colour).

We've just started a 'Munda campaign and it's bloody good to get back into it  :D

Nice work! The weapons are lacking a bit though IMHO, if you get a chance to get back to them I think they deserve a bit more contrast (a wash and a highlight) of perhaps some more colour (silver metallic, black) to break them up a bit. The weapons are rather large so them being quite monotonous takes away from an otherwise fine paintjob 8)

@Pil: I've got some ideas for spucing up the weapons - at the moment they're just brazen brass over scorched brown. But I've got a whole bunch of other things that need painting before I can get back to improving these chaps :(  Maybe if I need to expand the gang, I'll get to them, too!

@jimbibbly: An orange highlight on the robes would make a nice red fabric, I'm going to keep the robes as they are as I wanted a heavy leather effect - like cherry red dockers (for those that remember the fashions of the early 90s) and I think they've come out just as I wanted them in both colour and texture.  In fact, I'm going to re-use the same colour combo on some chaos space marines in the not-too-distant future :)
