Some very attractive terrain there.
The posters are a nice touch, but just one minor criticism - the font looks too modern, more 1980 than 1680 if you get my drift.

Thanks, fastolfrus! Hmm... the font is that GW standard font they use in their books, Caslon Antique. I kinda liked it. However, if I do more posters I'll bear it in mind and use others, older looking ones. Thank you! :)

Wow those are truly magnificent,
must look at your blog

What a great town :-*
I recognise the Forgeworld stables, well and forge.
I also recognise the 'not the Forgeworld Inn'!
(However did the makers think they'd get away with such a blatant copy? I believe it's now off the market?)
But I don't recognise the second large building with the semicircular terrace / portico.
Is that from the same people that make the 'not the Forgeworld Inn'?
Cheers
-
Wow. Thank you all for the awesome response!
I also recognise the 'not the Forgeworld Inn'!
Very good spot, Captain! But I expected so much from an owner of the original. :)
(However did the makers think they'd get away with such a blatant copy? I believe it's now off the market?)
Here is my blog post (http://cianty-tabletop.blogspot.com/2009/03/innfamous-wolf.html) about the Inn. Fortunately someone told me where it is from. As if the stolen design wasn't enough - if you are familiar with the Mordheim scenery sprues, then you will even recognize the symbol/emblem on the building (lion's head) which is directly taken from there. I didn't add it - it was part of the resin building. Was pretty unbelievable to me too when I bought it off ebay. The sculptor also copied the Forge World well, by the way... The little company now claims they don't produce it anymore because of "casting issues"... ::)
But I don't recognise the second large building with the semicircular terrace / portico.
Is that from the same people that make the 'not the Forgeworld Inn'?
He he. No, that one if from Resina Planet (http://www.resinaplanet.com/product_info.php?cPath=21&products_id=124&osCsid=2135181ec7fc9b177f0839520d656679). Check them out, they have a few very nice buildings and ruins (but make sure you properly wash the models before painting). Here is my blog post (http://cianty-tabletop.blogspot.com/2009/07/burgomeisters-mansion-pt-1-review.html) about the mansion with my not-always-fun experience.
My next building will be the Warhammer Forge from FW and after that I plan to buy the Blacksmith's Forge and Ruined Coaching Inn from Tabletop World (http://www.tabletop-world.com/). :-*
-
Stunning stuff I can see a development race beginning between yourself and Mr Blood ;)
-
Wow... :o

Inspiring. I love the unity of the pieces. It looks alive.
Why are there little tick marks on the your miniature bases? what rules are you using?
-

They represent the facing. I am using my own set of skirmish rules. :)
-
The hoof prints by the water trough was a nice touch. Awesome terrain.
-
I bet that Forge World stuff cost a pretty penny. It all looks beautiful though. :)
-
I bet that Forge World stuff cost a pretty penny. It all looks beautiful though. :)
I think the Forge World prices are overrated, meaning: they are pretty alright. The quality of their stuff is really great and since the GBP dropped in favour of the EUR it's really not that expensive, I think. The Governor's Mansion was pretty hefty, though...
-
vary nice start up, whats your planes with this?
-

No worries - I'm not familiar with GW books, but have a few reprints of 17th century books and the fonts do look very different.
The only buildings I currently have with posters are a few WWII ones (mostly beer posters from France/Belgium but with a few German military ones for variety) or American Western ones (the usual crop of odd adverts and wanted posters)
-
vary nice start up, whats your planes with this?
It will be 16-18th century fantasy board that I will be using primarily for my Gierburg rules set. However, - and that was important for me right from the beginning - it will be perfectly usable for Mordheim and Legends of the High Seas as well. I knew it would be expensive and time consuming so I wanted to be able to use it in many ways so I don't run out of enthusiasm and motivation too soon. :)
-
Magnificent... love the blue/grey walls. What's that a mix of?
-
Absolutely stunning terrain! Can't help but feel a bit jealous, if only one had the "time" for such models... and the skills for that paint job.
-
Magnificent... love the blue/grey walls. What's that a mix of?
I described the way I paint the walls in my post on the Coaching Inn (http://cianty-tabletop.blogspot.com/2009/03/innfamous-wolf.html). Basically it's just dark grey up to very light grey by adding white. The key is to dab the brush to get the irregular pattern.
I often write down the colours I use, both to help those who want to do something similar and to help myself remember them. My memory sucks big time and I often forget which colours I used, so to achieve a sort of uniformity I write them down (even when they're pretty simple). For the brickwork it is still useful for me today. :)
-
I've looked at the tabletop site, and those euro prices are hefty,
almost cost as much as to build a real village
although the models are fantastically done 8)
and they are in croatia i wonder whatthe postage would be o_o
-
Very nice! Now that is some terrain according to my dreams. Very well done!
-
Well done! :-*
-
This is really impressive, I'm glad that you showed off the interiors and removable roofs. It makes it that much more fantastic.
-
I'm glad you like it so far!
Those who are interested can now read a tutorial on my blog (http://cianty-tabletop.blogspot.com/2009/09/writings-on-wall-gierburg-posters.html) on how to do these posters (and feel free to use different fonts ;) ).
-
Cianty, I'm deeply impressed! Brilliantly executed terrain, subtle painting, superb miniatures and a very nice blog which I will bookmark immediately!
:-* :o :-*

My latest and last Forge World building is the Warhammer Forge. It is really a nice piece and after all the Forge World models I can definately recommend them. As usual, check out my blog (http://cianty-tabletop.blogspot.com/2009/09/warhammer-blacksmiths-forge.html) for a review and more photos. :)

Me, I am currently putting the finishing touches on the Old Glory Brigantine for my Legends of the High Seas games, so it will be a little until the next building.
-
I recently did a test piece for a streets section out of foamboard. I am not satisfied with the result and will look into using something else, still I thought why not put the pics up here. What do you think?
(http://i85.servimg.com/u/f85/11/75/59/84/jester13.jpg) (http://www.servimg.com/image_preview.php?i=669&u=11755984)

-
I think you are being very picky! It looks superb :-*
I suppose if I had to criticise, I'd say that the cobbled road and the paving works well. What appears to be missing is the kerbstone edging that separates the road surface from the pavement or sidewalk... Perhaps with a more solid line of regular, large kerbstones it would work just a little better?
-
Who makes the strumpet in the picture?
-
The pavement looks fabulous, but you are right. It looks odd in combination with that medieval style scenery. The buildings are probably too rural for bigger city streets. I think some narrower closeways would look more appropriate. Mainly without sidewalks...
Don´t take me wrong: Your work is fantastic anyway!!!
-
Very nice terrain. But I am interested in some of the figures. Who makes the townsmen in the early pictures? The ones with the cutlasses & pistols.
-
Thanks guys!
Captain Blood: You are definately right about the kerbstone edging. This was just a test for the street itself and for the pavement I will definately add this. Actually I thought about using Tabletop World's Town Square tiles for the pavement:
http://www.tabletop-world.com/townSquare.php
For the street itself I will try again using insulation foam...
Hammers: The strumpet is from Black Cat Bases' pirate civilians range:
http://www.blackcatbases.com/product.asp?strPageHistory=category&numSearchStartRecord=0&strParents=117&CAT_ID=117&P_ID=553&btnProduct=Products...
Michi: I don't think copplestone streets and medieval houses are contradicting. But the second thing that I am unhappy with (apart from the foamboard carvings) is the painting. I am not happy with the colours at all and I will need to experiment a lot more until I find colours that make it look better (anyone? :) )
HerbyF: They are pirates from Black Scorpion Miniatures:
http://www.blackscorpionminiatures.com/range.asp?the_range=PIR
Thanks for the honest feedback guys!

Love the bonny lass in the photos :-* ....think ive met her somewheres before on some port while in the Marine Corps.. :`

Probably Fremantle or Rockingham! You can see that sort of hangout most days around here. lol

The posters are a nice touch, but just one minor criticism - the font looks too modern, more 1980 than 1680 if you get my drift.

Oh please! If that's all you don't like then he's not doing bad now is he??
Bloody amazing scenery there mate, truely wonderful!

I drooled, I gawked, I liked it.

Thank you very much, good people! *blush*
Glad you like!

Looks great
I take it its for a pirate setting?
What rules do you use?
Regards
Steve

Actually no, as I find no fault with the color. It reminds me of wet copplestones. For dry copplestones the colors should be lighter, maybe brush a tiny amount of sand color over them afterwards. But apart from that they look just great.
-
abhorsen950: Gierburg has its own set of skirmish game rules. However, I purposely chose the terrain so that I can use it for Mordheim and Pirates as well. :)
Doomhippie: Thank you. :) Once I have more free time I will start working on the streets and then show them here, of course.
-
Ohhh you play mordheim?
How does it play?
Excellent stuff
Steve
-
Yes, I do. :)
Mordheim was my first skirmish game and I never played army battles ever since. We developed an unofficial supplement, Border Town Burning (http://bordertownburning.de.vu/), for it. For all things Mordheim check out Tom's Boring Mordheim Forum (http://boringmordheimforum.forumieren.com/forum.htm).
It's a nice system, despite some balance issues. Of course it's not perfect, that's why I'm working on my own rules with this Gierburg project. ;)
-
i was on the mordheim forum for a while never got round to playing it
Im gonna get into Bloodbowl instead.

Mini update: Here are some larger diorama shots of Tom's latest painted minis (see on the blog (http://cianty-tabletop.blogspot.com/)) in the dirty streets of Gierburg:

Sweet Jesus! Another jaw dropping set up. Amazingly atmospheric, I can almost hear (and sometimes smell) Gierburg.
The figures themselves are fantastic too.
Wow.
-
Gorgeous. My compliments on to how you've finished your Black Cat minis. They have come out dead nice. I find them a little ... difficult.
-
Stunning stuff. I'm regularly visiting the Gierburg blog, just for getting inspiration and enjoyment. Thanks for sharing!
-
Wow. Stunning. Such a great setting you've got there.
-
:-* Really nice work 8)
-
Wow, that is some amazing stuff you've got there.
-
Loving the quality! :-*
-
I can but agree. These pictures make the city come alive. Wonderful stuff and great models all around. Superb painting quality, a real eye-candy here...
-
Really stunning painted
-
Glad you like it. I have to again say that all miniature painting credits go to Tom List (who has a Painting Service (http://miniaturepainting.blogspot.com/), by the way).
Next month I'll get back to building/painting houses. Yay. :)
-
I like the overall atmosphere. The blacksmith looks good - the sword is very convincing.
-
Outstanding work! :-*
Cheers
Christopher
-
Coming along nicely.
For cobblestoned streets have you looked at Plonlein in Rothenburg ob der Tauber or tower lane in Dinkelsbuhl ? Or even the Shambles in York ?
-
Yeah, I have seen Photos. I do know how I want the cobblestone streets to look like, but I need to properly model and cast them, so that is taking time.
-
My massive order from Tabletop World (http://www.tabletop-world.com/) arrived last Friday. Now these houses will keep me busy for some time:

Here is a glimpse of what the eventual Gierburg table might look like (imagine some market stands in the middle, cobblestone streets, civilians everywhere, ...):

They surely should. Don't you have something like 250e worth of stuff there? :) Some of the prettiest resin buildings out there, no doubt, but I'm not sure if I'd dare to spend that all in one go. (It's a tempting idea, though...)
-
Simply brilliant stuff - can't wait to see the finished village ...
:-*
-
They surely should. Don't you have something like 250e worth of stuff there?
Yes, indeed. Not to mention the Forge World buildings not shown. This is why it is taking me so long to finish this board. But that's okay. :)
I finished the first building, by the way. A full review and some painting infos can be found on my blog (http://cianty-tabletop.blogspot.com/2010/04/merchants-house.html).

Beautiful!
Might have to have a play with some of those autumnal leaves myself...
The posters really set it off to! :D
-
great little town you will have there. 8)

Looks absoloutely excellent! How about some bird poo on the rooves? Might add some more realism!!! :)
-
How about some bird poo on the rooves?
Haha - I nearly suggested some excrement on the ground underneath the windows where the chamber pots would be emptied! ;D
-
Ha ha ha! Thanks, guys!

Just plain stunning. Wow. :-*

Truly wonderful!
You're just missing the town drunk slumped by the door waiting for opening time! :D

truly amazing!!
but why are the walls so... rough? :)
-
You're just missing the town drunk slumped by the door waiting for opening time! :D
Who? Me? lol
-
Amazing work.
-
Thank you, guys!
@Sangennaru: What do you mean by rough? The structure of the walls?
-
:o :-* (speechless)
-
@Sangennaru: What do you mean by rough? The structure of the walls?
i mean the texture... it is pretty more heavy in the last building you did. did you added it to the resin ones or are tey just so? cause on the website they looked pretty different!!!
anyway, all this work is amazing, no words!
who knows, maybe in a near future you'll be buying also the 28mm scenery i'm casting! i've now finished the first model, and will be on sale on warpaint at the end of may, i hope! :P
-
i mean the texture... it is pretty more heavy in the last building you did. did you added it to the resin ones or are tey just so? cause on the website they looked pretty different!!!
If you look closer at the additional pics on the website, it is the same.
-
Very impressive stuff. The detailing is amazing.
-
If you look closer at the additional pics on the website, it is the same.
uh... so bad... IMHO it is a pity... :P those are the best building i've seen so far, but this is a con...
-
I agree.
-
Superb, as ever. Gierburg's character grows with every new addition. Gaming through its bustling streets would be a delight, indeed! Have you kept the roof and upper floor separate for gaming purposes, like the Merchant's House?
-
Thanks for your comments!
@Sangennaru: I always have my eyes open for high quality 28+mm resin houses of this type so I'd love to see your buildings! Are there photos available anywhere?
The texture... hmmm I actually like it. It's cool to paint something different. The Coaching Inn and Resina Planet's Governor's Mansion have more smooth surfaces and it's nice to paint a different texture. It obviously requires a different technique and the results are different too. So from a painter's perspective I do appreciate the challenge/variety. I don't know from a "realistic" view if such a surface is not plausible or something? I (yet!) know too little of wattle/daub and other aspects of medieval architceture. I imagine the plaster could be rough as well?
Anyways, it's good to point this out. I'll pass the criticism on to the guys and let them know. Maybe they want to consider a different type of wall surface then.
EDIT: Oh, and I forgot: Yes, the roof and first floor both are removable. I didn't show inside pictures because I was too lazy to paint the inside :? Guess, I should have don't anyhow considering I tagged the post "review". ::)
-
I just thought of something... What are your exact plans for this wonderful project? Going to take it to conventions or are you just showing of? :-*
-
I'd definately love to bring it to conventions once the work is done. But it is too early to really think about it yet as I have many more houses to paint and, most importantly, have to do the board/table itself. I want to do some cobblestone streets and cast them so it's all a long way to go.
While the board is mainly intended for my own Gierbug game it can also be used for Mordheim or Pirates games. We'll see...
-
So shame on me for not updating this thread in such a long while.
I've been finding my way back to painting buildings during the last months so Gierburg is again growing at a slow but steady pace.
I have painted a lot of stuff from Stronghold Terrain (http://www.stronghold-terrain.de/) recently which I really like a lot.
This is the Town House: A nice little piece with great detail. More photos and full review on my blog (http://cianty-tabletop.blogspot.de/2012/10/town-house-from-stronghold-terrain.html).

Today I have finished the last of their building fronts. In this post (http://cianty-tabletop.blogspot.de/2013/04/gone-fronting.html) you can find a review of the models and a plea for using fronts and facades on your gaming board. :)

Very nice, I really like the painted stonework :-* :-*
cheers
James
-
They look great :-*
-
The stonework is really well done, it looks quite real. I really like this whole project, looks fantastic.
-
Thank you, folks!
-
The pieces look just as WONDERFUL here as they do on T.B.M.F.. GREAT WORK!
-
Wow! Nice to see you active again. Gierburg is looking good.
-
Highly inspiring! :-* :-* :-*
-
Beautiful buildings. I think your right about the 1/3rd building facades along a board's edge. That would look really snazzy! :D
-
Whoa!!! :o :o They are lovely!!!
-
Beautiful! Wonderful!
-
Thanks for the kind comments, everybody!
Up next is either the now OOP Blacksmith's Forge from Tabletop World or the port of Gierburg as a whole.
-
Honestly your blog is epic! Your work is very inspiring!
-
Work on the gaming board continues with the Port of Gierburg Part 1: A Water Board (http://cianty-tabletop.blogspot.de/2013/05/the-port-of-gierburg-part-1-water-board.html).
The above blog post describes a somewhat painful way of creating a water section for double use as part of a port as well as a board for piratey boarding action scenarios. Also features a product tip for styrofoam suitable colour spray and an underwhelming experience with Vallejo Foam & Snow effect. Enjoy. :)

impressive piece! You also did a good job with the sculpting!
-
I'm so happy to see Gierburg coming to life again! This is a great project and it's great to see its return.
-
Love the dock so far! Impressive build, I like the way you were able to incorporate so many different materials/products.
Can't wait for more!

Thank you for the nice comments!
Yes, I am working on the project. Especially with Simon painting the figures (http://leadadventureforum.com/index.php?topic=54347.0) I am very motivated to get cracking.
-
So I found a solution for what to use as the gaming table itself: IKEA stuff!
Looks nice and is affordable too:
http://cianty-tabletop.blogspot.com/2013/06/ikea-gaming-table.html
-
Good idea the ikea base! i might take one as well!
-
It took me a while, but that's nothing new. Yet finally, the first dock section is finished!
As always, work-in-progress, infos and photos at my blog (http://cianty-tabletop.blogspot.com/2013/10/the-port-of-gierburg-part-3-dock.html).

That is a beautiful city you are building there, had a look at your blog and will continue to follow the expansion of Gierburg via your blog as it has even more photos than this thread.
-
Beautiful. I'm going to have to get a drink and settle in for some exploring if these first impressions are anything to go by!
-
Is there any sort of rule set for this or are people just using mordhiem....?
-
Love it! Gierburg's been years in the making but it's such an inspirational project. I really like the way you do the pale mortar under the grey stonework; it looks extremely natural.
-
That looks the part! :-* :-*
-
Thank you, guys!
Is there any sort of rule set for this [...]....?
Yes, there is. But it's not for the public just yet. :)
However, the idea is indeed to use the board for Mordheim and pirate gaming as well.

Yeah, I too really like the effect. I stole the technique from Elladan, one of the two guys running Stronghold Terrain (http://stronghold-terrain.de/). He desribes it on his website: http://www.elladan.de/037%20mural%20with%20iron%20fence/037.htm

Ah, thanks very much. I just had a look at the link and it's a great reference/tutorial. I just got some silicone wall moulds from Klaus Spoerle, so I might try to make some bluestone walls using this technique.
-
I love this project, keep it up!

Thanks for the update I am heading over to the blog right now!!

After a long long time a new building for the city: The Broom Binder House from Thomarillion.

Amazing work as always! What is your technique for the ivy? It's one of the most convincing ones I've ever seen...
-
Thank you, Sirolf!
The ivy is from miniNatur (http://www.mininatur.de/silhouette_home.php?lang=en). I have just added that bit of info to the blog post as well.

Once again - a stunning building.

And great to see this lovely project getting some attention again.

As you're advertising on all buildings for the Theatre of Gierburg I guess you'll have to build the theatre at some point... lol :D
Great to see this beautiful is still growing bigger and bigger!!

Thank you all for the nice comments!

Ha ha. Yes, I probably should. A great opportuinty for an epic scratch-build.

So now and then I still get something done... This is the Tavern from Stronghold Terrain:
http://cianty-tabletop.blogspot.com/2015/12/tavern-from-stronghold-terrain.html (http://cianty-tabletop.blogspot.com/2015/12/tavern-from-stronghold-terrain.html)

Up next is the Mansion from Tabletop World but that will take some time as it's huge.
-
It looks just as WONDERFUL here as on Tom's. VERY WELL DONE!
-
Nice work
-
Another fine addition! Excellent stuff! :-*
-
Spectacular. Looks natural, it's a great piece!
-
Excellent work! :o
-
Just a great and atmospheric town! I would love to see a pic of all the buildings on a board together to get a sense of the whole village....
-
Thanks for the nice comments, guys!
I would love to see a pic of all the buildings on a board together to get a sense of the whole village....
Unfortunately I am still far away from having a full board. The little that is finished only works for small scenes such as these:

Outstanding!

WOW.......Just WOW! Brilliant! :-*

The only problem is....now I want cranes.
Lots of cranes!

I aim to please. :)

Yes, I am very happy with the addition of the crane. Here's the info for it:

Wow awesome!

Even lovelier when seen in a group and those figures are a bit special as well. :o :o
-
Thanks for the nice comments, everyone!
Thanks to Clarence from Quindia Studios I have now started to use SketchUp for creating the layout of the game board. Hopefully this will help me make a decision on how to progress with the board.

The city & figures so far are excellent. I look forward to seeing how the rest develops. I've wanted to model a small portion of a port/canal city for a bery long time, and this project is inspiring.
You've really put the 3d modeling to good use. I also like Sketchup as a tool, for hobby work or otherwise.
-
:-* :-* :-*
-
Amazing work and project!
-
That's a great tip about building all the different modules in separate SketchUp files. I've been trying to plan a board in one massive file, and then swearing when it won't let me copy exactly what I want.
-
Yes, it took me a bit to find out how to do things. But now I am prepared to created my digital terrain asset library.
-
Very glad to see you carry on with this :)
Those beauty shots are sublime :-* :-*
cheers

:o :o :o Stunning.

Small but stunning scenes! Already a super collection!

Not much progress in terms of the actual Gierburg gaming board but I got this cobblestone gaming mat from UrbanMatZ (http://www.urbanmatz.com/) after seeing it praised in the Mordheim Facebook group. I am super happy with it and it provides me with a way to play games on a nice surface until the "real" board is finished:

That doesn't look too bad actually. Is it slightly fuzzy?
cheers
James

I am surprised myself that it works so well once the terrain and figures are all set up.
And yes, the design is slightly fuzzy indeed. I actually haven't thought much about this aspect yet. I guess this is a good trick because it makes the texture of the fabric material less obvious (mousepad material).
-
Thanks for the info :)
You can just about make it out in the lower picture but I'm sure when the table is full it won't matter.
cheers
James
-
I was just browsing through the thread from page1.
There's too many good things to comment on so I stick with 'This is absolutely brilliant'.
Thanks for sharing und alles. :)
-
A little update - I now have the cobblestone mat from Deep-Cut Studio as well:
http://cianty-tabletop.blogspot.de/2016/02/ocean-and-cobblestone-gaming-mat-from.html (http://cianty-tabletop.blogspot.de/2016/02/ocean-and-cobblestone-gaming-mat-from.html)

This is genuinely like an wizard of miniatures went into your house and started doing magic.
-
Both look good, but I think I like the first one better. More subtle & blends into the background without distracting from the figures, buildings, etc.
-
That looks FANTASTIC! WONDERFULLY WELL DONE!
-
Very impressive - looking closely at your various examples of stonework it seems you have a lighter colour as mortar between the stones - whereas most people have the typical black wash look - yours look very realistic.

You are right, Golgotha. However, all credit for this technique goes to elladan aka Elmar Fischer of Stronghold Terrain. He describes it in this tutorial for painting a wall:
http://www.elladan.de/037%20mural%20with%20iron%20fence/037.htm (http://www.elladan.de/037%20mural%20with%20iron%20fence/037.htm)
Since I first saw it I have been using it on all my buildings and I am quite happy with it. How to paint the individual stones themselves is an entirely different story, though, and I am still experimenting a lot there.
-
This is another DeepCut mat which would be an interesting choice - maybe not quite suitable as a full city mat?
http://www.deepcutstudios.com/product/wargames-terrain-mat-cobblestone-streets/
Wonderful project.

Yep, that one looks pretty cool indeed. I can imagine it for my highwaymen with a coaching inn...

That is a nice battle mat. Tempting. Stunning picture.
cheers,

Well, it's been a long time. I finally finished the second piece of my "Port of Gierburg" gaming table. It's still a lot to do: that large grey area is supposed to be filled with an elevated wall/warehouse front with buildings. That will be the next step.

Spectacular stuff! How did you make your cobble stone road sections? Did you sculpt and cast them yourself or are they purchased?

Thank you! The cobblestone sheets are made of plaster. I got them from Vampisol (http://vampisol.de). You can read about the details of building the board in the previous post (including photos of the cobblestones):

What a fantrastic thread!!!
And going back to 2009, no less. Talk about a long-term project! You, sir, are going to be my model going forward with my Lake-town house and half-timbered swamp village project (http://leadadventureforum.com/index.php?topic=102375.0).
I really admire the work you've put into the many house kits that can be seen on the earliest pages of this thread, and refering to your blog, I see you still have detailed painting instructions for the various stages - invaluable assistance for wannabe village builders like me.
Hats off!
-
That does look SPLENDID. I love the area under the docks. VERY WELL DONE as always!
-
@jim/DeafNala: Thank you, guys!
@PhilB: Thanks! I'm glad if those articles on the blog prove to be useful for you. I will post a detailed article on how I paint stonework soon as that is requested as lot.
