Title: WWI aircraft hangar
Post by: Ignatieff on 26 April 2021, 09:42:03 AM
Chaps

I’m about to start making some aircraft hangars, and was drawn back to this wonderful example done by Aly Morrison for a game he and the late and much lamented Adrian Shepherd put on at Partizan in 2018.

Does anyone know where the Bessonneau style hangars came from (they look like MDF in the pic), and the same with the windsock.

‘Twas a wonderful game to watch

Having just trawled through the original post and Aly’s blogpost, they seem to be built of card.  But what about the cantilevered supports on the side.  Any help/pointers, gratefully received  ???

I seem to recall they were 3D printed.

Send Aly a PM and wait. He is here, but not so regular. I love this board, but he won't bring it to the Tactica in Hamburg... :(

Cheers.

Contact made.  He's speaking to the master builder, Dave Andrews.
