Never used this before(always used Tamiya thiners X20A before) but gave it a go today as the recipe required it and was very pleased with the results. Used a coat of 50/50 XF61 and Tamiya Lacquer thinner as a first pre shade coat for British Armour and it worked really well. Hardly any odour(lots of warnings on the net this stuff stinks) and went on smoothly and dried within minutes.Applied it with a low pressure. Also simple to clean up after.
Cannot see myself going back to use normal thinners after this as the quick drying is a great bonus. If i had a pound for every time I sprayed something and accidently moved it minutes later and only to screw up the perfect spray job.
Saying that proof will be in the pudding after various layers of paint and a comparison of previous models.
Anybody else use this stuff before ?

Looks like not many people are using this stuff ?
Couple of minus points I have spotted during the painting. Most likely down to the quick drying time the airbrush is needing some extra cleaning compared to Vallejo Air paints I usually use and I seem to be going through the Tamiya paint pots a lot quicker, once again compared to the Vallejo air.
All a learning curve. Last time I used Tamiya paint was back in the 80s :o

I haven't used my airbrush in almost a decade but I do love the Tamiya paints for spraying. I've only ever used their alcohol based thinner though; not the lacquer thinner.

Late to this one, but I try to use only Tamiya through my airbrush, they go on beautifully using X20A about 50/50 And never clog. I tried using the Vallejo Air I had and instantly clogged....
