Oleg and his Military Crew have watched too many get rich quick and they want their share

-
Nice crew.
Uncle Vanya wishes them success and much profit in their Zone endeavors.
-
Very nice. Remember to post how they get on in games.
-
I've still got a fair bit of work to do before they can head out
still need terrain and worth adversaries
-
Played a couple of tester games - no reports yet too many proxy modles and bits of terrain but i did decide to change by crew a bit
Veteran Leader, Medic and Hardened sniper, Heavy (RPK) and AK
Added some backup weapons and gear to carry loot out with - still need more holsters though :D

Now working on my independent Crew

-
Very nice start. Look forward to seeing more. :)
-
It's been slow but I've finished my first set of adversaries
Zombies!
and still a bit WIP
my first point of interest with some Bandits - these are security force deserters
(http://leadadventureforum.com/gallery/52/16577-140721080930.jpeg)
-
:) looks fab!!!
-
Looking good so far
-
Thanks
early days, nearly there with the figures - just need to paint them but I've got lots of terrain to sort out
-
(http://leadadventureforum.com/gallery/51/16577-120621112039-517541599.jpeg)
Where did this figure come from?
-
Where did this figure come from?
Crooked dice - it's one of their post apoc militia
I added the pistol hand from my bits box - think it came from a warlord WW2 soviet sprue
-
That works really well. I can see him as a bandit leader or a mission-specific NPC
-
I thought the same
One of the nicest minis I've seen in a long while
probably why I'm putting off painting him
need to be in the zone to give him the right character :D
-
more stuff
started on some of the terrain I've picked up
(http://leadadventureforum.com/gallery/52/16577-240721162028.jpeg)
and these wild dogs have smelt dinner
(http://leadadventureforum.com/gallery/52/16577-240721162056.jpeg)
-
Looking good so far :)
-
Thanks
finally have Kontraband on order too, so things are coming together
-
more on the table
Bandits arn't the only human threat, these scientists mean buisness too
(http://leadadventureforum.com/gallery/52/16577-060821091609.jpeg)
-
Looking good!
-
Nice work on those scientists. clinical, anonymous menace. after all, an AK is simply one of many necessary tools for proper field work in the Zone, right?
-
Seems foreign intervention was inevitable
but whether its government sanctioned fuelled by corporate interests only time will tell
either way this guy's brought friends
(http://leadadventureforum.com/gallery/52/16577-070821114602.jpeg)
-
Time to start on the terrain
(http://leadadventureforum.com/gallery/52/16577-070821163910.jpeg)
The first of several cabins, will probably base them so i can add some internal detail
-
Nice figures.
The rust effect of the cabin roof looks great.
-
Thanks its simplicity itself - using citadel paints
3 layers - base of Eshin grey, drybrush of Dawnstone grey, 2nd very drybrush of mournfang brown
thought \i'd need to add some orange to it but it seems to do the trick on its own
-
still chipping away at the project
(http://leadadventureforum.com/gallery/52/16577-120921113344.jpeg)
-
still working away on this project
mainly on terrain but have also added some hotspot/POI markers
and have these on the holiday table
I have wild dogs and plan to get some wolves too but theses boars fit the area too
-
Nice POI markers, are they resin casted/metal or 3D printed ? Your stalkers/bandits looks very good too, like the earthy-realistic palette you used on them.

Thanks
The markers are a mix of bits
there are resin crates, ammo and fuel cans from crooked dice
a SVD from the bits box - Think it came from empress
the map, gasmask and first aid kit bag are metals from TAG
-
more scatter terrain
baracades and sandbags with the obligatory - still needing a suitable poster on it
-
Step by step, looking good!
-
I like the way this project is progressing :)
-
slower than I would have liked but life, work, covid etc. well you know...
I have played a couple of short learn the rules games on a 2X2 board but
I still need to put together the city, military outpost and bunker boards and get a few wrecks before I set up a propper campaign

I have some similar wild boar waiting to be painted up for the zone. I'd read a report about real life unofficial visitors to the Chernobyl exlusion zone getting charged by wild boar and when I saw some come up for sale on here I decided I had to have them!
-
Hi Kikuchiyo, can you remember what company made the Mopp 4 character on page 2 of Stepping into the Zone.
-
Kikuchiyo, this is the miniature I mean
-
looks like a Eureka miniature?
https://www.eurekamin.com.au/product_info.php?cPath=87_126_150_846&products_id=11718
-
Thanks Mike Lance, I check Eureka miniatures out.
-
Kikuchiyo, this is the miniature I mean
That's indeed a Eureka miniatures model
I decided a while back that I was going all soviet so they are back in the stash somewhere...

I'd read the boars in and around the region are still radioactive so couldn't resist
seeing this pic of a village in Chernobyl sealed it, looks like they are after someone
-
Thanks Kikuchiyo, I will be hunting some down in the new year.

That's a great pic! There's something about the remains of the smaller villages in the exclusion zone that I like, of course the abandoned concrete buildings of Pripyat are impressive but the more rural remains have a charm of their own too. :)

You want the Japanese Radioactive Hybrid Terror Pigs.

RHTP - coming to a television and toy store near you.
-
some shots of my first go with solo and POI rules - random generated senario abandoned village, find and retreave intel
coming to terms with 2X2 not being big enough once you've learned the rules - will treat myself to a 3X3 mat once I've had a clearout
-
Other shots of the main objective, first POI reviel - zombies! and my sniper taking pot shots at bandits :D
-
This project is looking great! It's a treat to follow along.
Very evocative.
-
Great work! It is indeed very evocative and atmospheric.
-
The way you stepped into the Zone is great!
more scatter terrain
baracades and sandbags with the obligatory - still needing a suitable poster on it
Maybe one of these posters will inspire you... ;)
-
Thanks
those look great
I do need to add some touches to the buildings
I've seem some graffiti transfers before but nothing Eastern enough
I am enjoying this project
probably have 2 dozen minis left to buy - most importantly a large Mutant
but then its more terrain for the other regions on the random terrain generator
military outpost, war-torn town etc.
at some point I'll upgrade to a 3X3 but that needs a big clear out of the spare room and a new table
-
wolves on the prowel
-
Very nice set up and everything looks great!
-
Thanks
It's getting there
found a suitable mutant recently too
-
Weekly update
Alpha Mutant and an anomaly
-
with the D6 roll of an abandoned village pretty much done I'm torn between the factory setup and a remote outpost as the next project
This DayZ still has me thinking aloud
