Following my unexpected Punic Wars gaming of the last few weeks, I finished off a unit of Roman allied cavalry that had been sat in a box for four years and grabbed some photos of them with my Victrix Roman (mini) legion. Horses have been done with oil paints over a coloured undercoat and the riders are mostly GW Contrasts.

I am not super keen on the Victrix Roman Cavalry, so maybe I will steal your idea. I have plenty of left over Roman heads I could use.

Glad it’s helpful! I only did it out of necessity, but the Iberian cavalry are lovely models.
