Hi!
As the title suggests, i'm currently painting some heroes and villains for 7tv Fantasy.
My first cast of heroes:
Then i painted some baddies:
which escaleted into a small Saga: Age of Magic army:

There are never enough henchman ;)
The next miniatures will be some old Wizards of the Coast Gnolls.

Nice paint jobs.
-
Very nice work :)
-
Lovely. Nice to see some nostalgic Chainmail figs again, that range had some fantastic sculpts.
GW's Nightgaunt range has some of the best ghosties ever as well. Love that rusted metal effects there.
-
knock-out :-*
-
Lovely.
-
Very nice. I use to like 7TV but it lost me somewhere along the way.
-
Nice work.
-
Thanks :)
Some mischief makers:

and the evil Beholder:

Great work!
-
So far everything has been spectacular. I so like those gnoles. Who makes them?

The gnolls and their little pets are all from WotC - mostly Chainmail figs from the brief period before they canned it in favor of the D&D Miniatures Game with its crappy plastic pre-paints. The second from the right with the oddball weapon is from slightly earlier, one of the anniversary edition figs IIRC. All great stuff, and I think all by Ben Siens. He's also done a few in very similar style for Reaper, which are probably much easier to come by these days.
Now my question - who makes the beholder?

Hi!
Thanks for the answer regarding the gnolls. Couldn't have said it better. ^^
Unfortunatly it's quite difficult to find these miniatures now, especially here in germany... yet, sometimes there is someone who sells some.
The Beholder is a 3d print. The stls are made by Artisan Guild and can purchased through "myminifactory" in a set or alone:

While we are talking about the set, here is the Umber Hulk:

Excellent brushwork, Sir!

That Umber Hulk is a cracker!

Gnoll fans have to help each other out, right? :)
Maybe should have added that fans of Ben Siens who do 15mm scale fantasy will find a slew of his work at Splintered Light's site. His "hyena-men" over there are just as nice as their larger 28mm cousins, and his other stuff lives up to the same high standards (particularly the giants). Underappreciated sculptor IMO.

I hear that. Still regretting not getting more Chainmail when it was on blowout sales after the game was cancelled. The DDM game was a huge step down in terms of quality.

Those are quite nice, hadn't seen them before. So much printable stuff coming out I just can't keep up with everything. The "eye ray" bits are an interesting touch, can they be printed separately?
Love the mind flayer with the "hypnotic spiral" effect, jibes with the "psionic domination" thing better than the more generic energy effects on the other ones IMO.
While we are talking about the set, here is the Umber Hulk:
Interesting take on the critter. Can't decide if they were inspired by Popeye or a Khador warjack, but it does paint up well.
-
Lovely painting. :)
-
Superb work! have you got a game in yet?
-
Very nice painting work. I have ordered this set from Crocked Dice, and I´m now looking for information and ideas, so your painting is very useful!
-
Hi and thanks!
I've been painting a bit again over the last few weeks...
Not much, but i am slowly working through my pile of primed models...

so many wonderfully bizarre figures in the Hordesmachine ranges - and you've done full justice to those. Excellent.

Thanks :)

I have these and you’ve given me an idea now. My FLGS has 7TV. Wonder if any good. Seems to be good incentive for you and your lead pile which you’re doing a great job with.

The metalwork on those drones is awesome!

Snakes & Yuan-Ti
Better late than never. ;)
-
fantastic figures and paint-jobs.
-
Oooooooooooohhhhhh you're good at this lol
May I ask if you printed those? There was some concern over the viability of scales from a couple of people I know.
-
Looking good! 👍
-
They are really nice!
-
Thanks everyone :)

Yep, these are my prints. Absolutely no issues. In fact, they were so nice to print and paint that i'll print the rest of them in the next days. ^^'
-
I'm sure I've debated whether to buy those before, but I think your painting has convinced me!
-
blimey, 3D prints. Fantastic quality.

^^^^^^ this ^^^^^^ lol

Lovely painting on great figures.
-
Beautiful stuff. You’ve done the scales very well.
-
I've been looking for those yuan-ti again and can't find them. You couldn't possibly direct me to the creator, could you, please?
Edit: found them. Nagarot crawlers from Artisan Guild.

Both are also old WotC metal Chainmail miniatures.
88716 Dwarf Fighter
88740 Dwarf Hammer Priest
The dwarf fighter is pretty common on ebay, the priest not so much...

Very nice dungeon tiles! Are the individual flagstone squares 3D print, mold cast, or carved foam?

Your painting is ace. Especially beholder.

I discovered right now this tread and I find your work excellent: I like the tidy paintjob and the soft transitions. Well done!
-
Lovely work 👏👏👏
-
Great work!
-
I like those a lot! The older style wood elves always appealed to me and you gave these a great paint job. The dryads also look quite good.

Thanks! :)

Nothing crazy about that, looks great and love the sheer mass of chariots!

You,re just a wagamer lol
-
I'm not sure how I missed this thread before, but there's lots of really nice figures in here - well done! Personal faves are probably the Wood Elves, but the Sphinx is a close contender. :)
-
Thanks :)
You,re just a wagamer lol
Yes... unfortunately ;)
Nothing crazy about that, looks great and love the sheer mass of chariots!
Thanks! In the end, there will be 12 chariots plus Settra in this army. The army is far from finished... ^^

More great painting! Those are both excellent looking armies.
-
Very nice - once again, the Wood Elves are my faves! :-*
I'm impressed with how well the Hordes figure Una fits in (I'd have though they were too big, but I've never actually put them side-by-side before). The staff is superbly done BTW, but I think she might have an accidental smudge of paint on her face that makes it look like she has a moustache though...? ???
-
Some really cool additions. My favorite is that not-Ark of the Covenant! That’s a pretty nice sculpt, too. Is it a GW mini?
-
So much great work! 👍
