Title: Gladiators
Post by: Michi on September 25, 2021, 02:37:23 PM: I painted a couple of Gladiators cast by Foundry - all of them of minor height, yet still for 28mm arena fights.
From left to right there is a Retiarius, Thraex, Murmillo and Provocator.

Yes, they were painted for "Sons of Mars" which we played recently when I noticed a certain lack of different gladiator types in my Ludus... ::)

I have rules for Gladiatrix and Dwarf Gladiators in The Games: Blood and Spectacles but have never found the minis I wanted to represent them before.

It's another 3D-print and a bit of a fantasy model, but this Wolverine type was to cool not to buy and paint. I wanted him to be the big bad one of any arena and of a certain reputation, therefore I painted his armour rusty and let his opponents expect bloodshed and pain...

However I managed to paint them away right now and lead pile level is back to ZERO concerning gladiators. Here they are.

Drop frank a PM, there's a few here playtesting and raving about it.
There is a nice depth to it and it is very dynamic gameplay.
