All,
Looking for opinions. I have a great model of a witch that I want to paint as Morgane Le Fey for my Arthurian era games. Google turns up an assortment of images, different hair and clothing. Cis there a general consensus as to how she would look?

I would highly doubt it. What did Arthur look like? Or Merlin?
All we have is what people have drawn or painted over hundreds of years.
They painted or drew how they imaged them. I think you should just do the same.

As a fictional maybe/maybe not based on a real person (probably without any actual magic), it depends what your miniatures are going to be used for the rest of your army. Historic, more fantasy, using elves, dark elves or goblins?
Pick a figure to suite if you like the look of it, or get your command figures first then what fits with them. The only right answer if your not basing on a specific Arthur background or source is upto you.

Nick, of course AdmiralAndy and Inkpaduta are totally correct, who knows ? However looking at both classical and more modern renditions and a mix of sources that have her as either semi-divine or human I would just say something that fits your genre. Are your Arthurian games firmly set in the 5/6th century or with a more medieval twist? Most pictures of her assume the latter with Arthur and his Knights in plate armour . Looks to me that you are looking for a model of a long-haired woman in her late '20s/'30s and then her clothing should match the era of the gaming.

A fantasy Arthurian (more Late Middle ages) or actual Sub Roman Britain looking mini Nick?

The only thing I'll mention is that it has become the "convention", so to speak, for Guinevere to have blonde or otherwise fair hair (including blonde/ginger mixes), and for Morgaine to have black hair, or at least brunette.
Bit hackneyed, but it's there if you want to keep things traditional.

Well as Authur, Merlin et al were Bretons IMHO.
I suggest typical Breton, dark hair, white skin and petite.

Thanks for the input all. I was going to go with red hair, thinking she is Celtic, but if I go with black hair she can be used as Nimue as well.

Excellent. :) I also imagine her dark-haired.
I have a dark-haired female magician figure (which originally was supposed to be a Dark Elf priestess I think, but her ears do not appear) which I said was "the witch Queen of Orkney" in a few Dark Ages games I was running. Some players did not understand the hint, others did (but it did not gave them more advantage in the game) and I made clear enough that anyone attacking her could face something more powerful than a queen with a sword and guards. Even in a near-historical game people should be afraid of magic and that's historical too. :D

A friend of mine used Reapers Asandris Nightbloom for her with her A Song of Arthur and Merlin stuff.
I'm using the same mini as a female caster that blends in with my Anhurian force that I'm keeping low fantasy at the moment.
