I've just finished these units for my Peninsular project which, I'm happy to say, is drawing close to finalisation for the Anglo-Portuguese and the French (1900 figures down, 100 to go). I would like to get these armies finished soon if I can - I want to get started on the Spanish.

Lovely paint job - and I’m guessing that the presence of flags is an artistic choice ?

Thanks.
Yep, campaign historic or not, I think (in general) flags finish units.
Though, I'm not doing one for the British 10th hussars (up next) - actually thinking about it, quite a lot of my hussar units (mostly SYW) don't have flags; no flags for hussars must be a me thing.
I guess I mainly love the splendour of Napoleonics: I didn't do many French in campaign dress for similar reasons. Probably the reason I also painted so many 'funny' infantry units for my French Peninsular army (2 Swiss, 2 Nassau, 2 Poles, 1 Irish, 1 Du Midi, 2 Garde de Paris in white, 1 Hannovrienne, out of 28 infantry total).
I like pretty, c'est la vie.

Excellent work!’

Bloody brilliant! 'Early' British and KGL Heavy Dragoons have got to be some of my favourite Napoleonic units and you've certainly done them justice.

Really lovely painting! :-*

Beautiful units. Unfortunately they're British but your French are even better, so you're forgiven.
