Title: Core Space Board Game?

Just read about this in the latest Miniature Wargames, not heard of it before.

Thinking of asking Father Christmas to bring me a miniatures bord game. Anyone own a copy? Is it worth it?

This has been on my list for a while of things I am tempted by...

The concept looks good and you can play solo which is also an appeal.

I've played a few times with a friend, it's good fun and works solo, with 2-players or even more. 

Be aware there are two versions of the base game - the original and First Born, I'm not exactly sure on the differences in gameplay, but First Born has different baddies.  They're pretty good at social media/youtube stuff, so there's probably a good explanation out there somewhere.

 After reading the article in the Miniature Wargames magazine i found myself looking further into it after some miniatures hunting.

 I now have several sets coming my way.Not ordered the full game yet though.

 As far as i know the First Born is another starter but i am sure that it works with the first one and other releases.

 Some sets seem to be out of production now.Managed to get one of the Rogue Purge sets from the Battle Systems site.

 The FB page is also worth checking out as it gas some great painted miniatures on it along with other ideas for adapting other settings to the system.

 Also picked up the two sets from Wayland Games on this link.Good price on them at the moment.

Thanks all, Might have to be a good boy for the rest of the year and get this! At the very least the miniatures can also be used in other games such as Stargrave and I love the 3d board.

 I think the terrain is a big draw for this game.Bonus as it is already coloured and can be changed to create new lay-outs.Got loads of MDF stuff that need's making up and painting.

 The delux book looks like it will be a must have for the extra content.More info on the link below.

I am a big fan of Core Space. It is an immersive setting, a great game, lots of support. It would be nice to have a bigger community playing but other than that loving it.
