Here are a few gangs of wild west gunfighters and other assorted ne'er-do-wells I have painted for playing Fistful of Lead.
The Wichita Red Robinson and his gang are viscious killers and bank robbers.

The Dooley brothers are the Lawmen in these parts and aim to keep the peace.

El Loco and his Desperadoes have crossed the Rio Grande in search of loot and mayhem.

But Renegade Indians are prowling the badlands preying on the unwary.

Just a bit of fun, I might post up some game reports later. :D

And you certainly don't want to be picked up by the Doolies! :o
Great work by the way.

And actually I did have some ideas about a Soviet twist on the Old West, so maybe you weren't wrong. :D

Hi all. I've added a FFOL game report to my blog complete with game stats. Here is a taster, more on the link below.

Great report. That's what (well, one thing anyway...) I love about FFoL.
I see what you did with the Dooley's first names. But any chance their long lost brother Tom will make an appearance? :D
-
Looks good, & I too love FFofL.

Because he failed to turn up for this game, he'll have to...
Hang down his head and cry. :D

Great stuff. :)

Not to hijack trev's thread, but he could do a scenario where the Dooley Brothers try to rescue their long lost brother Tom, so he isn't...
...hanging from a white oak tree... :D

That’s a neat idea for a scenario. I’ll have to try that.

Though there's been a few complaining about one of the Dooleys not being there, I'm pretty sure they didn't check the saloon!
He says he was there and that's good enough for me. For any naysayers, they were both drinking ice cold Utica Club, and his nearly inseparable partner Schultz will be happy to testify under oath if needed.
For some reason tough not a problem in the past, those of you not familiar with this duo can look 'em up online.

However I now have a Dave Allen sketch in my head. lol lol lol

Great stuff Trev, very nice miniatures and a good looking game.
-
Agreed! Great game and I LOVE the cards you did. That Foundry posse has always been my fave group of Old West minis. But I need another project like I need a hole in the head! lol
Keep up the great work Trev!

Glad I could help.
FYI, a lever-action rifle can indeed break rope by firing at it, say maybe a hangman's noose for example....my younger brother and I rigged a rope suspending a 75 lb. weight at the range a few years ago. Shooting off-hand at 25 yds., we broke the rope. It took 18 shots though (5 of which actually hit the rope), so apparently we weren't rolling our hit dice quite well enough...... ;)
Thanks for that link.
You're welcome!

Thanks for the kind comments all.

That's one of the nice things about FFOL, and skirmish games in general. It's a very low bar to build a new force. Especially if you already have terrain you can use. The biggest downside is I'm enjoying the games and forget to take photos. lol

Hmmm... I might have to try this too. Did you use wad cutters?

Nope. Good old-fashioned round-nose. Winchester '94 in .30-30.

Of course! I was thinking pistol calibre.
-
Yeah. Maybe .45 Colt wadcutters might take less shots.
-
Bullet type is probably a bit too much detail for FFOL but I did wonder about adding a +1 at short range and -1 at long range for pistols. They’re just the poor relation of rifles currently, with no advantage. For long rifles, especially with a scope, if could be the opposite. Probably not needed but it might add a bit of tactical variety.
-
Good AAR. Thank you for sharing.
-
Keep up with FFOL rules. Always good fun.

"Yep" to the first point. and a hearty "Hmmm..." to the second!
-
Glad you discovered the Gang cards. I will say personally, differentiating between gun or bullet types is the antithesis of FfoL. You are better off bringing in traits and rules from the newer versions to add flavor. No bullet counting here.

Amen to that brother. ;)

Sorry - I was just discussing that for discussion's sake. FFoL isn't meant to differentiate between ammo types. One of the things I like about it...
