Here is my very poor first attempt at a video of my Red Army train.   ;D

Hi Jack,

Sorry for the very slow response but yes, the base train came with a motor and is battery powered.  To be honest it doesn't run that well on the table and would be easier to push along if I'd removed the motor but it had to be tried.  :)
