Title: Operation Red Jericho
Post by: fastolfrus on April 01, 2007, 03:53:57 PM
Has anyone seen this book ?
It's in quite a few UK remainder book shops and is quite good for Pulp gamers. Author Joshua Mowll, published by Walker Books.

Set in Shanghai/South China Sea 1920 it features secret societies, a Q ship, Chinese pirates (with a motor torpedo boat), assorted scientists and explorers, and some irritating teenagers (who sadly don't get eaten by the white tiger). The book has fold out charts, maps and diagrams which make quite good player aids, and the book is cheap enough (in the remainder shops) to cut up for the player aids.

This is a neat book.  Although I'm technically a few years decades beyond "young adult" I loved it.  Especially enjoyed the pictures, fold-out maps, etc.  Fun.  Finding  this post reminds me that I need to order the sequels.

We got the first sequel but haven't found the third one yet.
