Title: Painting American Indians - flesh tones?
Post by: Harry Faversham on 13 December 2021, 06:35:04 PM
I'm after a Vallejo base colour for 15mm Cheyenne Indians. What shade of brown would the Brethren recommend for my new 2022 project please?
???

Scale Color's Arabic Shadow would probably suit; their Indian Shadow may be to red.

Don't use Vallejo so can't help there but I find using a ruddy flesh base with a red-brown wash always gives a good native American skin tone - that's my go to and I'm not picky about brands. And, of course, I do this in 15 mm. Hope that is of some use.
