Thanks all for looking and commenting. For Christmas, the kids got me an Army painter stay wet palette from the kids, so it looks like 2022 should start with a determination to get the pocket armies painted up.

Thanks for putting this together Norm - read a some yesterday morning, and a bit more today. Giving me a number of ideas and thoughts!
Let us know how the wet palette goes - been thinking about one for a while - but not sure how useful it is the cold of the UK

Hi Fred. The wet palette is useful. The internal moisture helps keep the paint mobile in centrally heated homes in winter and in warm dry homes in summer.
I think the hidden benefit is going to be that I will be more inclined to use those odd 20 minutes here and there to paint, because getting into a session like that takes less than a minute to set up. It is also easy to set up a session just to go back in with the colours used to do a tidy up.
