Title: Kobolds & Cobblestones?
Post by: Mr. White on 08 January 2022, 03:08:21 AM
Has anyone played this little fantasy skirmish ruleset? It looks like it could be a fun, light way to make use of Otherworld’s great ‘humanoid tribes’ line of models and have gangs of kobolds v goblins v Orcs v hobgoblins v gnolls etc.

About how many models make up a side and can you do all same race gangs?

Are the rules any fun?

I picked it up when it was first released and it is a fun little system that uses playing cards which actually works really well, especially for a game of fantasy gangland brawling!

What it could really do with is its own range of figures as while you can use any miniatures for it, the style of the setting feels a bit more Terry Pratchett's Discworld than Tolkien's Lord of the Rings.

My biggest issue is your effectively playing poker AND a mini game. Being shit at Poker sucked the fun out for me. The mevhanic of using the cards as measuring tools is neat though.

QRS?

Quick Reference Sheet.

I asked the author at release time and it was on his 'to do' list.
