Had some free time, some card and an idea.

Agreed. Intriguing form.

Bit of progress with milliput and a roller.
Going fir a variety of textures/materials
-
That looks fantastic. Did you roll sheets of Milliput flat, let them cure, then cut them to fit?
-
Wow that’s ace so far! That texture on the miliput looks great

Rolled them flat, textured them, then cut them to shape whilst still slightly soft.
Attached to building with PVA then any small gaps and extra texture added

Great looking building!

Slowly making progress.
Once finished, there won't be such a noticeable crack between the 2 parts, due to making ut in manageable sections.
More brickwork, texture to do then tiling.
Then the big bit too!
-
Very much enjoying this
-
Very cool thus far.

The texturing is very impressive 8)

More done, mainly tiling to do now

Lovely :)

Thanks for taking the time to show a staged insight into this building, it is fabulous.

Really wonderful structure. I love the herring bone brick infill. You have me really tempted to do similar when I get around to constructing my next building.
-
Brilliant!
-
awesome build

That looks great! :o Did you use a roller to texture the milliput? I have some rollers that I have yet to use, this is very encouraging to break those out and get building....

Yup, texture rollers with milliput.
Added more texture to lose the 'clinical' look.
Certainly easier than sculpting whole walls by hand(bern there, done that!)

Fantastic looking gatehouse!
