Title: Corgi World of Tanks
Post by: shadowbeast on 21 January 2022, 10:09:51 AM
Has anyone worked out any scales for these? They have appeared in a collectables store around my way and I cannot work out whether any of them are close enough to 20mm.

If they are like the rest of Corgi's lines like that, the vehicles are sized to fit in a common box.

What I do, is figure out how long a 1/72 (compatible with 20mm...) vehicle would be in what I'm looking for, and take a tape measure with me to the store and try to measure the little buggers in the box.  Then I see how close it comes to 1/72 (in this case).

There are a number of on-line sources which provide the hull length of real vehicles to use as a starting point.

I know the 1/50 scale tanks work exceptionally well with 28mm figures if that helps.

The Battlefront ones are 15mm indeed, not so sure about the Corgi line.

Agree, 1/50 scale Corgies are perfect for 28mm and blends well with my 1:48 scale collection too.

I've just looked at the Panzer IV on Amazon. Under Scale it says "Fit the Box". At least they're being hones lol
