We should be getting the new 18mm Saxons from Wiglaf Miniatures in the next few weeks.
The company is owned by the rules author Dan Mersey, and the figures are by Mark Copplestone.
There's more information here.

I thought I'd share a couple of photos taken on my phone.
The first is to show what our wire spear looks like in their hands. The figures come without spears, and we only do one wire spear option. I think they look okay.
The second is to line them up with Copplestone Castings Barbarica figures. the new line is a bit bigger.

Useful, thanks Nick. They’re close enough in size for me :)
-
Yeah, just a taller tribe.
We'll also have print versions of Dan's 'Age of Penda' rules with the figures.
-
Great figures. Looking forward for their release.

Really looking forward to the release of these figures

Oh that looks pretty good and the scale is close enough for me!

Dan thinks we'll have the figures by the end of this week.
You can pre-order them now, including a collectors deal of one each of the packs, and an army deal to play Age of Penda with.

North Star's Kev has taken some pictures of the new Wiglaf Miniatures. Each picture is one of the packs.

Kev also did some better comparison photos than I did.

These are awesome! I’ve been waiting for new 18mm models since Mr Copplestone offered his first set.
I’ve been hyped since the first previews. These will definitely be bought…though I must admit I‘ll primarily use them for a Middle Earth project…

Ordered some.
Looking forward for them.

Dan's delivered the stock today. We'll start shipping this week.

As requested, a comparison of Wiglaf Miniatures 18mm Saxons (3 models right) with 15mm Forged in Battle (3 models left from packs WL4 Welsh Spearmen and GX5 Saxon raiders). As you can see, the ‘15mm’ and ‘18mm’ labels are pretty irrelevant. Both ranges stand around 20mm tall and are largely compatible. Wiglaf are slightly more 3-dimensional due to the poses and the separate spears, meaning they take up slightly more space on the base, but frankly the differences are marginal. This isn’t a ‘new scale’, it’s an already existing scale sculpted by one of the best.
